I thought I would start keeping an online journal...here. I hope thats ok. =)
I started yesterday, around 10 pm with my first session. I started by darkening my room and setting things up. I then sat down in the middle of my sofa, closed my eyes and started relaxing. I didnt really do any special relaxation technique, I just waited for my body to start getting numb. Which it did quite fast. During the first 5 minutes I was very dizzy and the blackness was spinning around. Which I enjoyed since it helped me forget about my exact location. I decided to wait with the mental hands exercises and energy raising until my body was totaly shut down because I didnt want the exercises to make me start twitching and moving. After awhile I felt my energy body (I dont know what u guys call it) started expanding. Felt good knowing atleast something was happening. When I had gone pretty far into the relaxation, some 20 minutes, I started getting a very irritating burning sensation in my left foot. As if u put your bare foot on a carpet and then twist it around. My feet was on a carpet, but I had never moved it. To be safe, next time I will put something softer under them. Anyway, this was incredibly annoying, and it didnt go away but I managed to not start moving my feet anyway. I didnt want to ruin the relaxation. After awhile a started drifting away into thoughts and images, without noticing. When I, some minutes later, "woke up" from this semi-dreaming my whole body was so hot I couldnt stand it. Also I was very very unfocused now. I soon became very irritated, even angry, at this burning sensation. So I got up, stumbled my way to the bed to get some sleep. When I lie in my bed I feel a thumping where my heart chakra would be. It was at about the double speed of my heart beat. I could clearly feel the chakras beat in the middle of the chest and the heart beat slightly to the left of it. It was the first time I really felt my heart chakra. So even tho the obe attempt failed misserably..leaving me angry as a bee, I was now happy to have felt a chakra atleast. So...a failure. For those who cared to read, any thoughts? |

Let me know if you want me to delete this after you've read it, so it doesn't ruin the integrity of your journal.- CFMy opinion and thoughts:
I think you may have projected and fallen asleep so you don't remember it- just the 'waking up' part. The next time you start seeing hypnagogics try to adjust yourself to the picture you see- 'follow it' if you can 'catch' it. This is tricky because when the hypnagogics start is when most people fall asleep- so awareness is the key here. 2- If you get this foot- burning thing again try sponging on the area- imagine the sponge is sopping wet and it soothing it. Then do some sponging on the rest of the legs and arms- to move your awareness from the aggravation of the foot, and to spread the sensation thus energizing your energy body. |

Thanks for the reply. =)
Please leave it, it would be nice if my little journal is read and filled with helpfull comments. =) I started having really vivid images infront of me. Ive never seen that 'real' images before. It was almost as if I was looking through my eyelids, but it was a different room infront of me. Anyway, do you know what I mean with this hot burning sensation? The one in my whole body after I snapped back. I really hated it. lol |

Ok, 2nd attempt yesterday...a failure aswell.
It was pretty much like last time, but this time I had a soft blanket below my feet, so no problems with the burning feet this time. I really think I need to get some relaxation techniques working, because waiting 40 minutes for your body to fall asleep is boring! Also I had real trouble getting my head to fall asleep. It seems like I can get my hands and arms to fade away in 5 minutes and feel my energy body(?) expand. But this is basicly the only part of my body that will work with me that easy. It really bugged me that each time I had to swallow my head would move quite alot which totaly ruined the little relaxation I had there. Oh, and I think I reached the vibrational state this time, tho only for some 3-5 seconds. Without a warning I suddenly started to vibrate and I heard a loud buzzing...somewhat like the buzzing from a fridge. But then it faded away. I tried to get it back, first by concentrating on it, then by trying not to concentrate on it. lol But it didnt want to. Soon after this I went to bed and I had quite a hard time falling asleep becasue I was vibrating so hard. |
