Default What's goin on here?
When I try to project, I get to the vibes then as I go deeper into trance I hear this loud rip like a needle on a record but louder and deeper. The strange thing is only I hear it and that is where my trance is broken and I return to normal. I induce my trances by using the brainwave generator (a great tool) that uses sounds, maybe when I start to project the sound becomes distorted? I don't feel any exit or reintegration but after that I continue to have a fast heartbeat. Maybe I did project but I didn't remember it or as it says in the Astral Dynamics book "download the shadow memory." I am afraid of what keeps happening, yet I am intrigued by it nonetheless. Maybe this is one of the effects of the mind-split? I want to be able to successfully project without having to induce trance onto myself with a steady hum of white noise. I have never successfully projected, meaning if I have projected I have never remembered it. There was this one time though when I was 2 years old that I remember that I projected, I didn't realize I had projected until now. I had just broken my tender skull open and was bleeding and was being rushed to the hospital, my mom was beggin me not to go to sleep but I found it hard to keep my eyes open and soon closed them only to find myself fully awake again and fully energetic and moving around, but until now I didn't notice that my mom didn't notice that I was moving around, because in reality I wasn't butI was actually projecting and trying to calm down my mothers worry stricken mind with assurements that I would stay alive for her. I also remember being able to fully comprehend more than I do now before I turned 4, I even remember the events that followed my birth up until my age of 3, which my 3rd year of being alive is a total mystery to me because I do not remember any of it. Anyways, I go off from one topic to another, please excuse this. o^.^o

This is possibly due to astral noise- it's a matter of getting used to it.
I induce my trances by using the brainwave generator (a great tool) that uses sounds, maybe when I start to project the sound becomes distorted? Have you ever tried without using the BWGen? You can get used to the presets, so I advise you learn to trance without it. Do you have the BWGen that came with MAP, or did you get it another way?

This sounds like an NDE. I also remember being able to fully comprehend more than I do now before I turned 4, I even remember the events that followed my birth up until my age of 3, You're the only other person I know that has that same recollection. I remember being in my crib, wondering how I ended up in this tiny body with the flailing short limbs that didn't do what I wanted to do- and also remember learning to use my senses and thinking, realizing that by doing this I was forgetting what I used to know, but didn't know how not to.
which my 3rd year of being alive is a total mystery to me because I do not remember any of it. Anyways, I go off from one topic to another, please excuse this. o^.^o I however remember longing to be 5, because then I'd be 'all grown up.' .
I recommend that you practice without using the BWGen to induce trance, and when you can get very relaxed, use the BWGen to give you that little 'push' you need, since you can get used to the presets. Practice NEW as part of the whole regimen- if you haven't read MAP I also recommend it. Since you have projected at least once before, try to remember how it felt being out. Good luck.

What is MAP?
Mastering Astral Projection, by Robert Bruce. It's like Astral Dynamics, but more methodical, and it incorporates the BWGen into the system in a specific order.

I'm always interested to know how various presets affect different people. Are there specific OBE or trance-inducing presets that you use? Which ones do you find work best, and how consistently do you find they work for you?

Best,
