I want one............ You're gonna be spending about seven hundred bucks for a sixty dollar case. I only say this because they're not for everyone, I have an aunt that after a week never used it again in favor of using her laptop instead. |

I wouldn't get one just because of a cool case with a keyboard attachment...I would get one because I liked the product in and of itself. |

I never said I was getting it for the keyboard/case -- it's just nice to know that is an option. Even with the case it would still be easily portable. I already have a tablet so I know what they're like, I want a bigger screen. The new one is supposed to be very fast with 4g and have better clarity than a 1080 TV screen due to the retinal display. I didn't say that's what you said only that I wouldn't get one just because of a cool case. As I'd posted before, part of what makes the iPad great is if you have an iPhone or a Macbook or even Apple TV - what I do on my iPhone (appointments, meetings, contacts, notes, music, videos, podcasts, whatever) automatically integrates across all devices. Also if you have a movie on your iPad, and if you have Apple TV - you can live stream that movie to your television on a WI-FI network via an iPad - which is cooler than having to download movies to flash drives then play 'em on the television. |

When is it supposed to come out, in the Fall? As for the keyboard, I am still trying to get used to the Virtual Interface. it takes a bit of getting used, and the one thing I detest is the "autocorrect" feature, especially when typing on a forum with acronyms, abbreviations, etc, etc. I like mine, but overall as far as the Android vs iPad debate, it all comes down to what you are going to use it for. The Apple iPad is ahead of the game as far as App's and features go, but the nice thing about the Android devices is that the majority of the Apps are free. There are a lot of free Apps for the iPad as well, but to get the truly functional App's you usually have to pay. |

Is there a big difference between Android versus Apple, function wise? The difference is one is closed (Apple) and the other is open (Droid) with each having their very own pros and cons. I think it just ends up being about preference - I was about to into a rant about Droid app code writers living in their mamma's basement in fuck'n Bratislava but I won't - not at 10:30 on a Sunday night I won't. It's not even about price either, at the end of the day Apple products tend to last longer but they're more expensive so it evens out - basically you pay for what you get. |

Yeah, they are out now. Apple called it the New iPad, though not so certain about the name. it is thinner and lighter than the iPad 2 and the battery does last longer as well. You can change that autocorrect feature in the settings - it used to get the best of me as well, now it's just me getting the best of me. My wife's got a Droid Razr, I don't think there're more or less free apps other than the App Store possibly just having more apps overall than the Market Place, at least that was my take. |

It's just an iPad 3 and as I'd pointed out earlier you can't really tell the difference between 'em...other than you're gonna have to buy a new case. It is thinner and lighter with improved battery life, so yes, you will need to get a new case as the case's made for the iPad 2 will not fit. I know several people who have the Droid smartphones and they all have basically said that most of the Apps for the Droid's are free, but there are more Apps produced for the Apple devices right now, but I imagine the other devices will catch up, probably within a couple of years. |

Function wise? No I don't think so - maybe less integration but that's about all. @bolded sentence -- that is one of the truisms in life. You get what you pay for, always. |

What email program does it use? Can you set it up to receive POP mail? Have you felt short-changed at any time not having Flash? Although my wife has whined a bit about not being able to use Flash on her iPad at the rate she wants too (one of the classes she teaches uses Blackboard and Flash content consecutively)...a file here and there though and it's not a problem. |

I got it. An amazing piece of equipment. I think the first app (besides Facebook) my wife put on her iPad was Pinterest followed by Evernote. My first apps were SkyGrid, Air Video, and Tweetdeck (current events and news)... |

Pinterest is great, thx for reminding me of that. If I do buy another one, I'll probably opt for the 4g service as mine is wifi only, but they are a very amazing product. |

The new retina display is very sharp. I put a screen protector on mine to deal with the fingerprints, but the new one isn't quite as bad as as the iPad 2's were. I've never used a stylus but I may get one some time just to try it out. The 4g is extremely fast. This is the best, most well put together electronic gadget I think I've ever purchased. Even the apps are better. I learned a lot from the sales person. All of the apps have to be submitted and approved by Apple before they ever go to Itunes. Did you know they have a special designer for the boxes which makes the boxes have a strong suction, slowing down the opening process, to create 'anticipation' for the customer? lol. |
