The first basic law of human stupidity asserts without ambiguity that:
Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation. At first, the statement sounds trivial, vague and horribly ungenerous. Closer scrutiny will however reveal its realistic veracity. No matter how high are one's estimates of human stupidity, one is repeatedly and recurrently startled by the fact that: a) people whom one had once judged rational and intelligent turn out to be unashamedly stupid. b) day after day, with unceasing monotony, one is harassed in one's activities by stupid individuals who appear suddenly and unexpectedly in the most inconvenient places and at the most improbable moments. The First Basic Law prevents me from attributing a specific numerical value to the fraction of stupid people within the total population: any numerical estimate would turn out to be an underestimate. Thus in the following pages I will denote the fraction of stupid people within a population by the symbol 'Durp'. THE SECOND BASIC LAW 'Durp'. |

Watch Animal Farm. This isnt a partisan post, its clearly just historical note. You can't change history. |

The video I posted wasn't a fairy tale, as Animal Farm is and was named "Animal Farm: A Fairy Story" The video I posted talks about written history, dating back to Solan's code of Law which is 594 BC, and it documents the Governments to follow. Why the founders created what we have today, for the first time ever, and why its been successful - Up until we got conned that a Democracy would serve everyone better, only for it to give power to the elite. That is fact, just look at what we have today. This wasnt just a one sided clusterfuck, thats pure bullshit. It's been going on for 100 years. But you also don't have to come away with the same perspectives of it either. HIS-story is not history. Civil and human rights are a relevtively recent event in the democracy/republic of America. |

You're right .. you can't change history. The video I posted made really good points, using past historical references, and no one has any answers but to post a fairy tale from Orwell, and over think the current American plight while the answer is pretty simple, its just not what you think, or want to think. Its real easy, the health of the individual promotes a healthy state, not a healthy state promotes a healthy individual. Its not more complicated then that. |

this may be true in America, but the idea is as old as history itself. It's very simple. |

That's just scary, a Dictator. Is that like trickle down economics? Our dictator is called the corporate will. What you're promoting is the failed system of the "me." If that suits you, I have no problem with that. |
