Default "..Dave Letterman goofoff w/ Alan Kalter....funny skit!!"
....These many unpredictable skits between David Letterman and his straight faced burn-out announcer Alan Kalter...are the funniest things in late night....

One of my favs. w/ Clint Eastwood....enjoy!

As a young teenager I used to stay up and watch his show. He used to be funny.

He just knaws on my nerves now.

It is hard to watch Paul too, his job is pathetic and he has been doing the same thing for so many years. When Paul play a few notes to end a segment, he looks like he just invented the cure for cancer. Just pathetic.

He gets laughs from stupidity and looking stupid.

There is no intelligent humor on his show at all.

If I am flipping around, I see who the guest is but I will never watch a monolouge. Sometimes the guests get the best of him and it is funny.

You two obviously have ZERO taste.

Letterman is the sharpest, most quick-witted TV talk show host in the history of televison.

If he isn't funny, why has everyone else basically patterned their shows after his?

Letterman's show may not be as edgy as it was back in the 80's, but Dave himself still has the same old dry, self-depricating wit he's always had.

AFAIC, anyone who doesn't like him has no taste whatsoever in comedy or likely anything else, for that matter.

JMHO.

NOTE: I will admit that after the monlogue & opening comedy bits are over & the guests start to come on, I change the channel. But I do that with all of them. The worst thing about late night talk shows is the guests. Modern celebrities suck.

Aside from Conan's OLD show (haven't really seen his current one) Letterman is the sharpest, most quick-witted TV talk show host in the history of televison.

You say I have no taste and you like Conan?

He had the most annoying un-funny show on TV.

Puh-LEASE.

His old 12:30 show on NBC was the wildest fucking thing I've ever seen.

Nobody has ever pushed the limits of what can be done on TV the way that show did, & likely never will.

He had so many outrageous characters, mostly played by his writers, that I can't even list them all.

Conan's old show was the funniest thing that has ever been on TV.

Period.

Judging by the political bent of these dudes.....they don't like Letterman because he always bashes BUSH....to a very personal level.....and the REPUBES to a point.....

and never...ever does the same to Obama....and the Dems......LOL!!!

....Thats why I like Letterman....he is a clear thinking dude...and knows their isn't an equivalency between the 2 major parties!!

Ask any conpuke about Letterman....the MOFOS all say the same thing....."I don't think he's very funny......"

When we all know....those truly impartial...that he is the funniest dude in late night...BAR NONE!!!

Like everythin' .....even the humor of Letterman has been politicized for it's honesty...biting satire.....and observant take on our politics.......

.....Dave's no tool.....he's very smart and witty.....and knows the truth!
Sorry I can't say the same about some posters here!!

Conan's humor is among the most original.....and drop dead funny...anyone saying otherwise...DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING about comedy.....or DOES NOT HAVE any sense of humor!

Although it started slowly, Jimmy Fallon has found his mark.

Agree about the good ole days of both Letterman, and Conan.
