It is just that the bad can far outweigh the good.

I told a pair I gave up Christianity, becaus I'm concerned with my life on earth, and will leave it up to the Cosmos to sort it out.

They looked pretty lost for words, and blessed me.
I told them thank you - right back to you.

Not mine. The last time one came to my house I was outside unbathing. She asked me what I would do if the world were to come to an end right then. I looked up at her and said, "Well, ma'am, there isn't a hell of a lot I can do, is there?" For a split second she didn't know what to say and then told me to have a good day and hurried away.

That was 20 years ago. Nary a one has darkened my door or set foot in my yard since......

Bill the JW are not a cult, they are a business.

They exist to make money. They try to convert as many people as they can to get those people to contribute. The mormons are the same way, although the mormons have a better welfare program for their members if they get into trouble.

They come to my door as well. One time an old guy knocked on my door. He started with the same old crap. I asked him how many years he had been with the company. He said 40 years. I asked him if after all that time he wasn't tired of thinking the world was going to end. The world today is in better shape then ever. He didn't have an answer for that.

After all, to think that at the end of the world only these people would be saved, in their Watchtower, just because they gave money to a "church" so the head of it can have his mansions and Rolls Royces is rediculous. I actually said this to a woman one time and her answer was that money is not evil so it is OK for the head of the "church" to have his mansions and expensive cars. Pretty fucked up people.

We all know the Jewish people are the chosen people. If God is going to save anybody, he will save his own kind.

It goes back to the old saying. I don't want to be in a group that would have me for a member.
