well our stadium, the ricoh arena in coventry has been scheduled to host between 5 and 10 football matches
![]() ![]() this is a biggie......a couple of years ago the stadium hosted rugby's heineken cup final and it netted businesses in the city an estimated £6'000'000....obviously the olympics are so much bigger the stadium beat off bids from the like of aston villas 'villa park' and birminghams 'st andrews' happy days |

You won't say that during the games if you live anywhere near it. We just went through that here and I gotta tell you it was a mess. Besides that, we'll be paying for it for years to come. ![]() |

whats to pay for?......the stadiums new,it has a rail link......its next to a motorway, and within striking distance of 2 airports.....and they know how to run an event, since it was built they've had bon jovi twice, take that, oasis, rod stewart, the red hot chilli peppers and pink plays soon ![]() Then of course the weather will turn sour just in time for the games and it will snow in the middle of summer.. These are after all unpredictable times and the sun will need to be brought in by helicopter at mega cost.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course every freaking road will need to be closed and all brought to a standstill for 8 months prior, not to mention all the rubber gloves you will need for the actual Olympic games searches itself.. ![]() ![]() Happy Days are abound.. ![]() |

Well since Government seems to get involved you seem to lose perspective.. Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart were at those places so they need to replaced with brand new venues now.. Rockers destoy what every they touch or perform at and it must be replaced with a totally new place at 100 times the cost for any Olympic.. Hes shite.. |
