Very exciting season, this year with the best cars changing as often as the weather, Go Hamilton and Button!

I loved SPA last weekend! Force India just out of the blue kicking some butt. Can't wait to see if Fizzy is going to be in Ferrari in 2 weeks.

I love how some cars are great for some tracks and not for others.

I'm pleased to see that the FIA inspected the new USF1 facilities and were "impressed". It will be great to see an American team competing in F1, and I hope it will stimulate the renewal of a US Grandprix. Having Canada and the states back on the calendar would be fantastic! It would be great to have real fans watching a race, not the empty grand stands like those of China and Turkey. Now Bernie wants a race in India and Korea??? WTF do those countires know about F1? Sheesh! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gif

All he's thinking about is the money

valiumcheapll 09-11-2009 06:00 AM

Americans will only watch a sport if there's a good chance they will win it. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gif

Boy this thread needs an update. Briatore gone - crashgate gives another bloody nose to F1. I hope the final races of the season are clean and Brawn can continue it's fight for the two titles. My support is still behind the little team that almost wasn't.

As for Spa, it is the elixir of F1, the crown jewel of the season. I also can't wait for next year and the return of Montreal! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif

I just watch F1 for the races really. Wouldn't call myself a massive fan in terms of keeping track of what happens behind the scenes.

roundman 09-24-2009 11:32 AM

My country is hosting it this sunday. Its a night race on a busy public road in the city. All the roads surrounding it have been closed since yesterday.

ENCOSEARRALIA 09-27-2009 10:33 PM

Hamilton took it but congratulations to Glock and Alonso for stellar performances. Button and Brawn are well placed for a double championship! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif

buttons doing his best to throw it away

pushokalex1 09-28-2009 04:22 AM

i would be happy if rubens wins the championship!

i was so happy for alonso and i hate that he got caught up in the renault issues.

What are you talking about? Brawn was barely comppetitive at this track, and Jenson and Rubhens did the best they could. He's throwing nothing away and is still on track to win the driver's championship - as is Brawn for the constructor's.

valiumcheapll 09-28-2009 11:57 AM

Button should still win the championship even if it means limping over the line, 5th yesterday actually increased the gap between first and second, he should be ok.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif

ENCOSEARRALIA 09-29-2009 11:19 AM

Hey Pete! The silly season is in full form and here is how it is looking: Kimi back to McLaren to make way for Alonso at Ferrari. Rosberg to Brawn with Barrichello going over to Williams. Koveilinen probably out on his arse, as will be Piquet, the little weasel.Nakijima is loosing Toyota support so he will be gone too.He was bloody useless anyways. If Ferrari improves for next year it will be hard to beat them with Alonso at the wheel. Pound for pound he is the best driver on the grid.

autolubitelone 09-29-2009 01:02 PM

I miss the halcyon days of William-Renault. If only Williams was a consistent force again - them along with the usual suspects from this year would make next year very interesting...

valiumcheapll 09-29-2009 02:31 PM

I thought it got quite boring when Williams was dominating, got to say this is the most open and competitive season for years.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif

autolubitelone 09-30-2009 12:46 AM

A fair point Peter http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

I guess I'm just a Williams fanboi hoping they'll do good again - amongst other teams doing well of course. Would make for an even more competitive season than this year.

LOL yeah, like how they had to reconfigure hockey so that only American teams can win the Stanley Cup. That's why I don't watch it any more.

pushokalex1 10-16-2009 03:41 AM

BOOOOOOOO you guys! I love F1 and I am american. If anything I don't like seeing just one dominant team so I am happy Button is fizzlling.

http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif Sorry, I didn't mean all Americans, I apologise. And I agree with you about not seeing one dominant team, I prefer the competition too. That said, as an unbiased http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif Brit, I still hope Button finishes the job.
