i'm really happy Alonso is going to Ferrari next season will be great

ENCOSEARRALIA 03-11-2009 12:27 AM

Quali chaos, an injured Glock and a starting grid scrambled by penalties. It will be an interesting race tonight! Look for Vettel and Hamilton to dominate. The Brawn drivers shot themselves in the foot by ignoring the yellow flag. They are both experienced enough to have known better. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...thumbsdown.gif

krek-sikUp 03-11-2009 01:36 AM

the race starts 7 a.m where i am got my alarm set

on the news it said Glock could race tomorrow

ENCOSEARRALIA 03-11-2009 01:58 AM

Race is 11:00 PM start here. I am GMT -7hrs. I find it interesting that, because there hasn't been a race at Suzuka for a few years, and there is no testing between races, there are several of the newer drivers that have never driven the track before this weekend.

valiumcheapll 03-11-2009 04:11 AM

Button and Barrichello didn't help themself getting demoted on the grid but what were they thinking zooming through on a yellow flag?
Anyway, 4 hours till coverage starts, come on Button and Hamilton!

ENCOSEARRALIA 03-11-2009 04:51 AM

Yeah, when I saw Barrechello blow by the yellow flag I immediately thought "Penalty!". http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/wtf.gif

It's good to see Suzuka back on the calendar. The second best track after Spa (don't worry Pete. Silverstone is a very very close third~! )

Just thought I'd put up one of my favorite moments in F1. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...smilies/24.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../surrender.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/nuts.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/owned.gif

It looks like Vettel has made Brawn wait another race for one or both championships. They need only half a point to claim the constructor's but the driver's is less sure. It will make the race in Brazil all the more interesting in a fortnight.

Silly season news: it looks like Kubica is heading to Renault.

krek-sikUp 05-10-2009 12:45 PM

Its going to be a good race in Brazil

Kubica is a good driver

valiumcheapll 05-11-2009 03:32 AM

Button will finish the job.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/thumbsup.gif

I bloody well hope so! After such a cracking start to the season he sure has fizzled in the last few months. When I heard Ross Brawn had taken over the remnants of the Honda team I wished them the very best and they haven't failed yet. Constructor's championship for a team that almost didn't exist is a fairy tale come true. Now they have to wrap up the driver's title to make it real. Having said as much, I give full kudos to Red Bull and Vettel. Both those little teams have proven to be giant killers. Where have Ferrari and McLaren been all year?

Formula 1

any F1 fans here?

i love the cars and the race venues.

i also do kinda get interested in the politics of the sport too. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

I love how the sport was back in the 50-90s (back when I wasn't even born). But I still follow it...

pushokalex1 08-27-2009 07:33 PM

I just recently got into it. how was it back in the 50-90s?

i was so happy when Rubens won last week! he seems so genuine.

Toscoropreark 08-27-2009 07:44 PM

Well, back in the days, it was more competitive and they were less preoccupied with their hairstyles. That meant, more overtakings and more close racing, and every great driver had a nemesis (like Senna-Prost, Stewart-Rindt). Take seasons 2001-2006, Michael Schumacher was completely unchallenged, and the sport was predictable and boring. Luckily, the last couple of years have been better, like in 2007 when anyone of three drivers could have won the championship in the last race.

Toscoropreark 08-27-2009 07:46 PM

Also, they banned driver aids and reintroduced slick tires this season, witch made everything better.

yeah i love the super slicks. in the last race it was so fun to see how the teams used the tires.

i love the commentating. i always wonder if they are all drunk. i also like how they do give some good info sometimes on the technical aspects of the cars. SPEED does a great job broadcasting.
