Philadelphia is Irrate!!!

For signing Michael Vick. Makes me Sick that they would sign him. BIGGEST mistake the Eagles could have made.

He'll make his start on Dollar Dog night lol

I have a feeling everyone will be saying "Who let the dogs out, woof woof"

HonestSean 08-14-2009 08:23 PM

The guys done his time. Dont know why his former illegal activety should make any difference to his ability to play gridiron. Why have you got to be so morally clean to play a sport?

TiepayWrary 08-14-2009 08:25 PM

Phuck Philly!

Vick paid his dues. People need to use a little common sense.
In fact if he's in shape he could be a big help. McNabb is always on the brink of injury, I just found out their back-up is hurt and the 3rd string guy is AJ Freely.

itititit 08-14-2009 08:29 PM

yeah agree

any team that has AJ as third string needs all the help they can get

Dweplyododo 08-14-2009 09:17 PM

but yet Donovan Mcnabb believes in second chances....and they are close friends, and Mcnabb pleaded for the Eagles to get him?
gimme a break...

Dweplyododo 08-14-2009 09:23 PM

i was just thinking if the Eagles played the Cleveland Browns this year, and their "dog pound" would have gone nuts on him

And I'm the dork that actually went and looked up the schedule earlier with that in mind http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue2.gif

itititit 08-14-2009 09:28 PM

and do they?

Unfortunately . . . no

Dweplyododo 08-14-2009 09:33 PM

imagine if the Browns did pick him up?
Mangini would have been fired before coaching his 1st game!!!

KitRittyTug 08-14-2009 09:39 PM

Who cares if he paid his fucking dues. Paying dues doesnt make people forgive and forget what someone did. Have common sense with that. lol

Philly Fans are the most brutal fans in the NFL so this is disaster for the Eagles to sign this guy. As a business stand point this a huge mistake. Why would you sign a guy that the fans are gonna boo out the fucking building. Boycotting games and the team.

And you people under estimate AJ Feely. they guy is an awesome QB. After Mcnabb and detmer got hurt back in 2002. He did a great job and it proved the Eagles dont need Mcnabb and shouldnt rely on him

itititit 08-14-2009 09:44 PM

I wonder if the philly fans will boo him straight off, sure they will boo him if he sucks, but he may come out and win some games for them - I get the impression some phillie fans like the bad boy style ( that certainly has been my experience with their Hockey Fans - they just loved the Broad Street Bully image that the team had)

But - if he can win consistently and put he Eagles in the playoffs, etc. I think the fans would start to "come around"

TiepayWrary 08-14-2009 10:04 PM

Philly fans boo Mc-fucking-Nabb!
Of course they'll boo Vick but as soon as he does something to help the team win all will be forgiven.
Do you think Dallas fans gave a flip that Michael Irvin was snorting coke and galavanting with hookers.
Of course not as long as he was making plays.
People disgust me the way they cast stones as if they've never broken the law or done something they regreted.
The same people that are irrate over the signing of Vick are cheating on their spouses, driving drunk, buying drugs, beating their kids, cheating on their taxes or paying for prostitutes.
So it's not ok to dogfight but it's alright to make battery snowballs and throw 'em at referees? Fuck Philly fans.
Fuck the holier than thou attitude of those fat, ugly bastards.

http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/clap.gif It's remarkale the hypocricy of some people. As you say, soon as he does something right on the field the fans will change their attitude, always do.
Remember at West Ham when Paulo di Canio returned after a lengthy ban for pushing the ref over, guy played out of his skin and left a cult hero. I personally go to a game to watch skilled athletes, I might not like some of them or their life choices but who gives a fuck as long as the're doing their business on the pitch. Of course some people will boo him, Some people boo Beckham for wearing a skirt, Ronaldo for winking at the ref a few years ago and other players simply for any stupid reason. It spurs a lot of players on to prove themself and do better, it dosen't mean they should quit doing something they have a skill at. Sure you'd rather him earn his money than get turned down for jobs so that he would have to be paid welfare out of your tax.

was di canio the guy who seemed to give fascist salute to the Italian fans?

Thats the one though that was after he left West Ham. He is a self admitted fascist so as you can image, I dont personally like the guy at all. However, cant deny his skill on the pitch and I was grateful to have him when we did. I think there was no place for his gestures on the pitch and he should have got done for that but what he does and thinks off the pitch really is none of his employers business unless it directly affects his ability to play.

agreed his business is his business, i remember him being a gret player

pushokalex1 08-14-2009 11:44 PM

I am very interested to see how Philly reacts to him but it really sucks we won't get to see him play in a real game for a while.
