That's debatable, and it means a hell of a lot for the Jags. He's lead the team in receiving for the last 10 seasons, and is the last player left from their first season. That's a lot more than nothing. And he may still make the HOF. He's 7th all-time in receptions, which has to count for something IMO. The only reasons I see he wouldn't get in is he never played in a Super Bowl and played in a small media market.

he got those receptions mostly in dallas if i'm not mistaken and because of micheal irvin, troy aikman and emmit smith...he probably wouldn't have had most of those receptions if he didn't have that type of support

Jimmy Smith had 862 career receptions, 0 were with the Cowboys (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo.../players/2017/). He was there for two years (92,93), but never played because of a broken leg and then an emergency appendectomy. Dallas and Philly both cut him in 94, then the Jags signed him in 95.
