(by request...thanks for asking for a who ya got!)
World Series time, everybody. Defending champions, and my home town heroes, the Philadelphia Phillies verses the legendary New York Yankees. Oh boy, this is gonna be fun! These two have played one Series before, back in 1950. Yankees swept that one. They also met for a three game series this season, on the Yankees home turf - Phils took two of the 3 games (Lidge blew the save in the game the Yankees took). |

I think this is going to be a series defined by its hitters. And while both line ups are rich with solid hitting, I like our Phightin' Phils over anyone when it comes down to bats.
I say Phillies in 6 - and we get to celebrate with another fun parade down Broad Street honoring a team that has become adored here. |

It's funny. I cannot root for the Yankees, but I do want Teixeira to do very well. And if and when the Yankees do win, I want him to be the reason.
(...or anyone, except A-Rod because I am still mad about him blaming his banned substance use on the Rangers, claiming it was only while with the Rangers (b.s.), giving away signals late in losing games that cost a pitcher or two their job, and the fact it all seems to be forgotten now because the "beloved", ratings-grabbing Yankees are in the World Series.) |
