Thats very tragic.

I wonder what the circumstances were involving the shooting. During his tenure in the NFL, he was always such a class act on and off the field.

Just saw this on the ESPN Ticker. I can't believe they killed my baby daddy.

Have not read anything about it as yet so I don't know any details. Still I can bet it's sad.

That's awful. He'd always been a real class guy.

His poor family.

Police say a suspect "is not actively being pursued".

Murder suicide? Reports are his body was riddled with bullets.

Just heard today that reports are hes was having an affair with the woman he was found with, she's 20 and the gun was found under her. Seems she killed him then herself.

Tragic.

They haven't officially called that yet, and won't until some more investigation is concluded. But McNair's death is officially a homicide, and no suspect is actively being pursued.

Looks like alcohol might have been a factor, not only in this incident, but in the "friendship". She just got busted for DUI 2 nights before, and he was in the car with her when she got arrested. And she was spotted in a number of bars Friday and Saturday.

While this may turn out to be a murder suicide; Women very rarely kill themselves with a gun.
Poison, Slitting wrists, Gas (oven or CO in a car) or jumping. Guns? Almost unheard of. Its a guy thing.

So I suspect the police are looking hard to find another shooter.

They keep saying that they're not but who knows?

I really feel for McNair's wife who by all accounts was busy raising their four children and being his wife and who appears to have been completely blindsided by not only his death but the circumstances surrounding it.

BTW the deceased woman's sister is saying her sister thought McNair was leaving his wife in a few weeks to be with her.

Doesn't that sound like a cliché in a some miniseries?

The whole thing is just crazy.

So many young women today seem caught up in fantasy Craig. I was raised not to speak ill of the dead so I'm trying not to but all reports say Mrs. McNair is devastated and that the entire family is coming to be with with her.

There's been a lot of talk about exposing kids to television, music and movies that are meant for adults. As a result the young people are unable to distinguish fantasy from reality. I know there are pictures circulating of McNair relaxing with this young woman and people will say how could his wife not have known. She has four kids. Parents here will back me up.

Exactly what I was thinking. Don't know why some women fall for this and why this young lady actually felt this man would leave his wife and FOUR children for her. Was she not like 20 years? I doubt she actually believed this deep down but who knows.

It's sad all around.

I definitely believe that McNair could have been living a double life unbeknownst to his family. That poor woman and poor kids.
