What a pussy, if he used a 6ft water bong i would be impressed
That's a custom Roor he's hitting there. You better be damn impressed, because those things are both fantastic (I hear) and very expensive.

[quote] Olympic Champion Michael Phelps Smokes Top Ranking Bong

While many media outlets will likely focus on how Olympic gold champion Michael Phelps' bong smoking scandal will affect his million dollar endorsements or his eligibility for the 2012 Games, here at ANIMAL, we're more concerned about the relevant minutia, such as the high end bong he was caught smoking. Turns out the
aquatic, gold medal accumulator was puffing a ROOR in a photograph published by UK tabloid News of the World. The German made, thick tubed, award winning water pipe features frosted glass diffusers instead of the more standardized rubber grommets and retails for between $120-150. Judging from the photo, it looks like the bong is from their 'Red' series that come in 3.2 mm thickness and range from 13-17 inches, except this one was custom emblazoned—for an additional charge—with a "V". For victory perhaps? We'll see, even after a public apology, Phelps stands to lose out big time for acting like a 23-year-old.

This might get worse for him. I saw the South Carolina cops are considering charges against him now.
I see all crimes in South Carolina have been solved. Happy Day.

Does anyone realize that there are legal substances that can be smoked from a bong?

LOL, yep when I think of South Carolina (especially their college towns) I think "safe" and "crime-free".

If Michael Irvin can lie away his crack pipe and keep his ESPN job and get in the HOF prematurely, then I can't fathom how this hurts Phelps.

He is a least not a whore-mongering crackhead.

And he didn't have to push off on others for his success.

Irvins crackpipe wasn't pressed up on his lips.

Not defending Irvin, just can't prove it like a photo can.

Proves he had his mouth on a bong. Nothing else. No proof of anything illegal.

Irvin was and is a recidivist liar, crackhead, whoremonger, and liar.

I'll give Phelps the benefit of the doubt he has earned.

For now.

Whoever leaked the photo is a douchebag. This is why everyone hates the media.

I wasn't saying Phelps should be punished, just saying the proof is there.

I see no problem with smoking pot. I think it's bullshit it is even being questioned that charges are brought up. It's a picture.

In college, i had a bro in the frat who made a 5 foot (or thereabouts) bong. He measured it so that he could stand up and tip his head over and suck on the thing.

It required a 'ground crew' to light the dope on fire.

(I didn't- and don't- smoke, but did get a laugh at these fools using the thing)

You just know these people making these decisions to cut ties with him have had a number of run ins with the law, smoked pot, and did a number of other things.

I get the whole bad pub thing, but its definitely being blown WAY out of proportion.

How many times do some of these Hollywood stars get busted, and keep getting all the cash they rake in, along with many other athletes?

What Phelps did is very, very tame to what most have been caught doing.

I don't see how weed is a performance enhancing drug when it just makes you lazy. Maybe they think it'll calm your nerves so you can perform better?

I said before how I'd love to see with the munchies because I knew he already ate a ton. Hate to pay his grocery bill.

I'm willing to bet the very same companies that drop him now, will pick him back up within time.

I was at BW3's yesterday and they had ESPN on. On the bottom line that scrolls along had a line reading that Kellogs has dropped Phelps from its sponsorship lineup.

What a joke.

Much adeu about nothing.

there's some guys who have been busted in MMA for it. There's a guy on another forum I read who for some odd reason has a lot of expereince with roids and other drugs to boost fight performance, his claim is weed dulls your senses in a fight so you can take more punishment.
