To make it even more confusing for you, some APBT are dual registered with other registries as AmStaffs, so being registered as something doesn't mean as much as most people think.

Dam and sire are both registered as am staff. BUT I have never seen am staffs like that. Do you follow what im saying here? The question is what does THAT sire in the pics look like? That dog is my pups dad. The dam looks just like him besides being lighter.

They can be registered as amstaffs and not be amstaffs, the papers don't matter as much as the bloodlines, you can't tell the breed from the pics, he seems to be ambully no matter what the papers say

What are the names of some of the dogs in his peds? His parents' registered names?

You can't tell from just a picture, I know American Bullies that look like APBTs and I know APBTs that look like American Bullies.

OP posted a website in the puppy section under "my new puppy gator".

As has been said; you cannot tell 100% visually; you really have to look at bloodlines for confirmation.

That said; I'm no expert but I looked at the website for fun. I didn't recognize any bloodlines on the Sire's side. On the Dam's side Camelot and Greyline I know are bully lines.

That said I would say you have an Ambully; maybe an AmbullyXAST.

Dad is gorgeous; and I don't think overdone; however given the weights you listed for both parents - that sort of pushes them more into the bully category; IMO.

What do you mean you've never seen an Amstaff like that? What are Amstaffs supposed to look like?

The weights are just my guess. But the mom and dad were not bred by THEM. I just got the pup through them. I looked through all ty he pics on here like a member suggested. Ive come to the conclusion that they are probably run o the mill generic pitbulls. But I will keep everyone updated on the pups growth.

I didn't catch the weights that you estimated, but Amstaffs can range in their weights quite a bit. My dogs lines tend to be 55-65lbs. (males) when full grown. Sako is right at 55lbs. currently. I have a friend who owns one of the AKC's top 20 Amstaffs and her dog is around 80lbs.. and he's not fat, he just has a ton of bone and is a few inches taller than Sako.

There ARE different breeds that fall under the general category of "bull breeds" (not "bullies").

There ARE NOT different "kinds" of Pit Bulls.

There are American Pit Bull Terriers (Pit Bulls); American Staffordshire Terriers (Am Stafs) and Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Staffords, Staffys); and other breeds which fall under "bull breeds".

I've seen tall, leggy Am Stafs like that; it's the red nose that is unusual -- not unheard of, but unusual.

Do you have the registration slip with you as owner and the pedigree that comes with that slip?

I think you have it backwards!

APBTs CANNOT be registered as Am Stafs with AKC.
Am Stafs CAN (or used to be) be registered as APBTs with both UKC and ADBA.
