You know what the best way is to find out if a place is dog friendly??? ...CALL THEM! http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/tongue.png You can really call any place and ask, you may be surprised with their answer. Just say "Are leashed dogs allowed in your store?" and if they say no, you didn't lose anything in asking!

Tractor Supply is my dogs' second home... I go there a LOT and usually have a dog with me.

Canadas wonderland has the same thing as sea world.
They have kennels and a kennel staff.

All the local feed & pet stores, of course. Lowes, Home Depot, Wholesale Sports. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

My Home Depot and my Hobby Lobby only allow small dogs. Lowes, Gamestop, and Micheals allow dogs.

Most Best Buys, if positioned near a Petsmart, allow dogs too.

^^ yup, and Bed Bath & Beyond too http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

Only because they don't want to hinder you from buying a TV just because you chose to come in after picking up your dog from a bath. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/wink.png

I'm going to make a list and start calling around! I love taking Snow with me to go to town but there is a law against leaving animals in vehicles (as there should be). I would love to be able to take her to places I like to go and shop.

Let us know how that goes! I'm also going to do that for my town. I may rarely have to leave my dogs behind from now on!

Best Buy allowing dogs is not a company policy. Individual stores will make their own executive decisions to allow dogs though.

salomal-qask 01-10-2012 03:28 AM

Now I'm going to have to check out my local stores to see which ones allow dogs.
The only one I've ever brought my pup to was my feed & seed store. The employees love dogs, and their jobs (you can tell). It was a great experience for my dog.

Kahne goes to Lowes with ray all the time. He get some what the fuck looks sometimes from customers but all the employees just smile or come up to say hi.

And Best Buy wasn't publicly saying that they allow dogs and if you ask stores will say no. But they weren't about to throw you out for walking in with a dog. And I'm not saying this is every store but the store I've worked on all over the country kinda just looked the other way.

So basically if you call or go in and ask, they're probably gonna say no.

Bass pro is very dog friendly. We have a lot of dock jumping events at them even had our nationals at one last year.
Side note Disneyland also has kennels always has.

I've had Frankie in Lowes before and nothing was said. The sales people were ALL over her and told me there were dog cookies at the check out counters.
I'm thinking about having Frankie take the TDI test in November (if it's offered this year) so she'd be able to go even more places.

So does Universal Studios Orlando I believe.

Dog Friendly Businesses

So apparently Bass Pro is dog friendly. This is the first I have heard of it and I guess I was the last to know. So I'm curious. What other places are dog friendly that I might not know about? Perhaps we could get a list going and make it a sticky or something.
