So I had some guy confront me while my dog was pooping today. He was pretty irrate.
"I see you're letting your dog shit in my yard again asshole?" I said yeah so? He's on the edge. Young buck, works out too. I egg him on a little too. Pick up your shit you're all thinking right? It's a little more complicated than that. I do pick it up....sometimes. This is a little apartment complex and this guy just lives there. It sits about 50 yards away from the sidewalk and down a hill. No kids live there and no one ever really even goes in the yard that I've seen. (they're also the types that leave their garbage cans on the sidewalk after pick for days forcing everyone to have to dodge them). She pooped way off to the corner with a bit of diarrhea. The yard is never taken care off, half the grass is dead, and the other half has concrete just haphazardly poured everywhere and not even smoothed. It's kind of a dump basically. Someones manicured lawn, sure. What do you think? Just pick it up or what? |

Pick it up. It's rude to just leave it there no matter how crappy the place looks, especially after someone who lives there complains. i always pick up my dogs poo. even if he is having diarrhea i still make my best attempt to clean it up. even if we are on a run i still bring bags with me. i hate to be the rude person known as the one who doesn't clean up after their dog. even having a dog i can't stand when i come out of my house and see someone has let their dog poop on my lawn and just left it. besides being just gross poop can be a health hazard even if your dog is healthy and has no parasites etc how is the homeowner to know that. |

.... Who is that arrogant that they think it's ok to not pick up their dog's poop?
Not only is it rude, it is a wonderful way of spreading disease. Giardia, coccidia, e. coli, parvo, worms, the list goes on and on. Stop being lazy and selfish and pick up your dog's poop. You're the type of person that makes the rest of us dog owners look bad and lose privileges. |

It's not your property ... nor your right to make a decision whether you should pick it up or not ... but it is your RESPONSIBILITY to pick it up.
Why would you even question that, especially if asked to do so ?? My guess is you seldom pick it up ("sometimes" is what ... once or twice ever) and might not even routinely carry something to pick shit up with. Use a plastic grocery bag you can just stuff in your pants pocket. With your hand inside the bag, pick the shit up ... then while still holding the shit ... slide the bag up and over your hand so your hand is now on the outside of the bag and the shit is on the inside ... you can let go of the shit now ... and tie a knot in the bag. |

I hate when my neighbor lets their dog shit on my lawn, I don't allow mine to shit on theirs.. I expect the same courtesy, it makes me want to pick it up and throw it on the hood of his car. it takes 2 seconds to pick it up. |

Again, I'm fine with it. My neighbors started doing it and I said not to worry about it. Huge field way far away, not a problem. If it's up by my door or something that'd be different. I think it's pretty strange to care so much personally. I was thinking of smearing it on his garbage cans and throwing them down the hill so we can all use the sidewalk again. You think I shouldn't? |

my yard is not that well taken care of right now...and I get really mad when some asshat lets there dog poop in my yard, pick it up! I don't want my dogs getting sick because of having to walk past some other dogs poop that the owner left. I have poop bags attached to the dogs leads, the only time I have had to leave poop is when Logan as a puppy had diarrhea after I got him (dewormer) in the middle of the road as I walked by and then cars were going by so I was not going to endanger myself

Pretty much everything everyone else said. The only time I don't pick it up is when it's a nature preserve or empty field or something other than someone's personal property. you are a retard Well you have to walk into quite busy traffic to get around these things. Or step over a fire hydrant between the sidewalk and a big bush. It really is quite annoying and disrespectful. There's like 5 huge ones that perpetually sit out there pretty much. |

People who don't pick up after their dog is one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate it. I have an empty lot with signs posted and people still let their dogs poop there and do not clean it up. So I have to every single day.Check your local laws/ordinances. Where I live it's up to a $2,500 fine and repeated offenses can cost you your dog. All I have to do is get photos of a dog in the act on the property and send it to AC. And believe you me I will if I ever can catch them, because right now AC thinks it is my dog, who, in her worst moments couldn't poop that much.

You got issues man. Just because someone else is irresponsible doesn't mean it's okay for you to be ... or justifies your attitude. Take the high road, do the right thing and pick your shit up.
As for the trash cans, if they are a traffic hazard or personal safety issue ... take it up with the city. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. Work smarter, not harder/dumber |
