Every dog with tan points is obviously a rotti mix, duh guys how did you not know this!
But really he is a very good looking dog, what a good shelter find.

What a handsome boy! I agree, no rott in that dog, he definitely looks bully mix of some type.

We'll need more pictures, too, cause he is so cute.

UGH,thankfully I found another personwho knows what they're talking about. I'm so sick of the members on PBC not knowing simple things like tan points=100% chance rotti or mix. Jeeze, even a noob like me knows these things.

But in all seriousness, I want to see more pictures of this cute boy. Keep us updated!

I think he would be bigger and built different if he had rotti in him. He is a handsome boy though

You see people breeding dogs that look a lot like him with ABKC/UKC papers.

Yeah, he looks like a Pit Bull or perhaps even an Am Staf. REally, really nice-looking dog.

BUT, here on this board, stating an actual breed name is apparently a no-no.

Officially HERE, there are only mixed-breed dogs.

Even a pedigreed dog is suspect.

Seriously, this is not going to turn into yet another Carla-debate. No no no.

OP: I have a tri color too and sometimes people ask if she's a Rottie mix, it's just.. normal LOL. Your boy is very handsome! Is this the one you were asking about ear cropping for? He has great natural ears, and being that you rescued him, I highly doubt the shelter allows adopters to have their dogs ears cropped (most write it into the adoption agreement, actually).

Okay, IS this the policy on this Board? That there really ARE only mixed-breed dogs and it's best (on THIS board anyway) to NOT identify any dog as an APBT or Pit Bull mix?

AND that a pedigree proves NOTHING as to the "breed" a dog is?

If this IS the policy on the Board, just let me know.

And here I always thought it was the PEDIGREE only which described an "ambully".
In other words, an "ambully" can look like anything, as long as it has the "right" pedigree.

I swear, you just don't get it, do you?

Read the Rules. Read our Polices. Do you see anywhere that says anything you mentioned? No.

I refer to 2 of my dogs as Pit Bull mixes.

Thank you. The only reason I left the most recent OT posts up is so that I could reply to them. Any further OT talk about what makes a dog what will be deleted.

We have about 345241232 threads on the subject, but feel free to start another in the Debate section if you'd like!

nico1988: Your dog is SO handsome. I agree with the others, no rott in him whatsoever. In my opinion, he is 100% bull breed - likely American Bully, or crossed with APBT and/or American Staffordshire Terrier. Nice find, I hope his personality is as wonderful as are his looks!

I would say he's an ambully. If his age is correct, he's far from matured and it already looks as if, he'll continue to fill out like one. I have seen loads of ambullies with the exact tri coloring, not saying that alone determines anything, but based on those pictures, all I can see is ambully. The tri coloring is often mistaken in the pit bull world as, a rott x pit bull cross, so I am not surprised that they would say the same thing for tri bullies. He's a very cute puppy though, good luck with him and thanks for saving him.

Honestly, I think every single dog represented on this Board by a picture "could" be an "ambullyy"!

Really, think about it! - It's blue, it's black and tan, it's kinda chunky, it's low to the ground, it's stocky, looks like it could be a Pit Bull but oh wait there is a pedigree and it has been deemed THAT pedigree is "American Bully"!.

If it's not the ADBA show-style Pit Bull, just say "ambully"!

Just say "ambully" every single time and I won't get in trouble! That's the ticket!
