Smalmslobby 08-15-2012 09:50 PM

gennickO 08-15-2012 09:54 PM

There is only one kind of pitbull and that is the American Pitbull Terrier which is the breed name. As far as what color your dog is the dog looks champagne in that lighting with white Markings .. Can you get a better picture in direct sunlight? Here is a dog that appears similar in color to yours and what some breeders refer to as Champagne which is another way of saying your dog's color is a super dilute and comes from doubling up on recessive genes for X amount of generations to where the dogs coat color begins to loose pigment you will see this commonly with blue on blue breedings crossed back to red dogs and that's how you come up with this color the bully breeders have labeled as champagne rare and special when it's really just a color that was obtained by ignoring pigment and overbreeding recessive colors for so many generations.

ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [350475] :: JOY'S TINY TWISTER

Also a dogs color is not a bloodline which would determine what family of dogs your pup is off of. In order to determine bloodline and breed you would need to have a pedigree from a reputable registry/breeder without knowing how the dog is bred you can't determine what breed of dog you own. So it would be safe to say you own a mix of some sort.

Yep def that Champagne Color with White markings. The color is basically a red/blue mix dilute.

Adimonnna 08-15-2012 10:26 PM

Here is another dog referred to as champagne color see the similarities? With this color you can see the red and blue undertones...

I'm amused at your choice of dog! lol That's a half brother to one of my dogs http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

No, champagne is NOT a "red/blue mix dilute" - it is a liver dilute. And yes, the OP's dog is champagne. Very cute!

genna 08-16-2012 09:13 AM

thank you, but is there any chance she can be a blue fawn ?

heres a photo of one: https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/im...zK9qBG9D5nqaP-

No. And the puppy you posted isn't a blue fawn, either. It's another liver dilute.

A blue fawn is a fawn dog, with diluted black pigment, turning it blue.

This is a fawn dog - note the black nose..

A blue fawn is exactly like that, only with dilute pigment...

I can understand your confusion, though... when I googled each colour, ALL sorts of dogs with their colours incorrectly labeled came up!

Feloascarlelt 08-16-2012 02:30 PM

Champagne like every one said, not a fawn. Please dont be the one to say your dogs color for its blood lines, that shit drives me nuts. "what are his lines?" uummmmm ahhhhh hes a pure bred red nose..http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

KhJOHbTM 08-16-2012 03:19 PM

Yep, her nose is Red. Which mean's nothing, except that's the color of her nose lol

advabHixavoip 08-16-2012 06:07 PM

It seems dilute liver is becoming more and more popular!

My girl Miss Kitty.

First off, Blue Nose and Red Nose aren't "Kinds" Of Pit Bull. They're nose colors. Nothing more.
As for the pup, he looks like a diluted Liver to me (Champagne as some call it, but I hate that name lol)

Cemeuncex 08-16-2012 07:23 PM

The pup is a diluted "brown" which results in a "liver color". The genetic code would be bbdd

SueveDobe 08-16-2012 09:23 PM

Dilutes drive me nuts. Brina is liver dilute or "champagne" but her coloring also includes blue brindling streaks. So dilute liver blue brindle?? Gah it drives me up a wall because it's so darned hard to put a label on her coat color lol. Still I like the blue fawn and dilute liver colorings and yes they are becoming more popular Libby.

That is not how genetics work. A dog cannot be liver, and have blue because blue is a dilute of black. Do you have any close ups of her coat to show what you're talking about?
