How do I find out what cities have bsl?
 

Im buying a new house with more land, i have a few picked out in different towns. I just want to make damn sure the area does not have BSL. Does anyone know of a website, or anything that has a list of city restrictions? Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to contact each individual town and find out what there laws are. You could get this info from the Sheriffs department. Also some towns websites have their laws listed, but your best bet is to physically speak to someone regarding it.

I did both. When we were looking at buying I went to the city website and read through the animal ordinances. Then I called AC/the police department and specifically asked.

It's a good idea to read animal ordinances anyways so you know things like number of dogs per household limits, leash laws, etc.

Thank you, I will call the police departments and go on the web sites. my biggest worry is home owners insurance.

We have our homeowners insurance through Auto-Owners Insurance. They didn't care what kind of dog we had. We actually got a discount for having a dog.

I have Allstate and they could careless the breed of dog you have as long as it doesn't have a bite history.
