Default stupid roommate
so i was out back letting my dogs run around in the backyard, and tire out, i was halfway out in the yard with my back towards the house, all of a sudden i hear a huge firework goes off, and my dogs take off, there is a small hole in the front of the gate that meeko ran thru, good thing he listens and stoped and came back to me, calvin was freaked out, it pissed me off, he gave me no warning, i didnt hear him come out, why would you do that with any dogs out there, espically when you already know my dog is super skiddish, then after i got my dogs calm i was sitting down, and he came up, calvin ran to the other side of the yard, and we were talking, he asked if he could have my dog, i looked at him like he was stupid.

There should be a "Trust no-one, especially roommates" sticky. The horror stories I have heard about roommates and the ones I lived through with roommates and dogs is sadly all too common.

yea, i dont bring calvin out when either of my roommates are around, one has a gsd and an australian shepherd, and he is great with dogs but calvin is just scared, he is good about it and ignores him thou, but still dont bring him out, 1 cause he wont come out unless i pick him up and i only do that if its aboslutly necessary, like they are watching a movie in the living room and its late and he has to go out to use the restroom, and 2 because i dont trust, my other roommate not to do something stupid, but today i slipped up and wasnt paying attention to what was going on behind me

He must not like you or the dogs very much ... or maybe just has no respect for you and the dogs
Either way ... not even cool

Roomates suck lol. My old room mate used to purposely scare my sister's dog. He thought it was funny but it wasn't funny at all. It never is.. Some people just dont get it.

Your roomate is a sociopath. More trouble is soon to follow.

omg. My husband would have been on a murdering rampage if someone had done this and I had my dogs out and ended up having to chase them. He was mad enough one time when Snow got loose and I had to get her... I can't imagine if someone did that on purpose.

@.@ And I would have been throwing my roommates clothes out onto the lawn like an ex or something.

Man, what did you say to him? When I first read it I thought maybe he was out front and didn't know the dogs were out...but if I'm reading it right, he "snuck" out behind you and did it in the backyard with you and the dogs? Holy cow! Are you roommates with him or he with you? Either way, if it were me-someone would be moving!...well, hopefully I wouldn't have been in that situation in the first place, but damn that would have pissed me off to high hell.

yea i was pissed off, cause i was mad that my dogs were scared, scared that my dog almost ran out on the road, in a high traffic area so it was double pissed off, but i just had to breath and we sat down and had a talk i tried to explain that you dont do that with dogs espically one that has never been around fireworks, and is already skiddish, and we talked about some other things, but we will see if he listens, i am roommates with him, but he is about to leave for a few weeks, he is not home a lot, its just when he is home he is a pain, my other roommate wont leave his dogs out when he is out cause he has let them out in the front, with no fence before, and they had to chase them down.

Why waste talking on him? Is he stupid or what? Can you fire him and get another room mate?

your dog is lucky he made a escape. you should move somewhere else rather then sticking with your room mate. otherwise you and your dog will be in trouble.

Talking to a person who would do that seldom works. Sometimes a fist or a cast iron skillet gets the point across.

If it were me, i would be asking this person to vacate the property, change the locks, and call it a day.

And I hope you keep your dogs in crates in a locked room when you can't be there because if this asshat would do something so retarded with you there I shudder to think what h emight do when you aren't.

i could never have a room mate. although i live with my mom and would be willing to live with my bf, they.. well... im the law setter in the house most of the time and people know i would KILL someone for my pets, so no one even thinks about trying shit with them.

i told my bf that if we ever moved in together and if one of idiot freinds ever TOUCHED my pets or teased them or ANYTHING hapend to them, i would NOT be afraid to woop some ass and make there lives miserable. obsessed and scary? yes, yes i am.

My friend (she runs a rescue center) was just telling me how every year hundreds of dogs are put down because they run in fear of fireworks going off and their owners never see them again...

Keep your dogs inside on the 4th...and if you do go to a fireworks show and see some dumbass who brought their dog, slap the cr@p out of them...then educate them...then slap the cr@p out of them again...

it was the 5th, and during the day, you couldnt even see the fireworks it was pointless for him to do that shit, and i did keep them inside, the only time they were outside was when they had to pee and were on a leash,
i keep my door locked when im gone, and one is always in a crate, i dont leave the 2 dogs alone together, its not my place to ask him to leave, i have a feeling he wont be there much longer, he is stealing food from me and my other roommate, who we rent from, and he is getting fed up, so i think he is about gone, i can only hope,
