I live in Poland so shooting cats is not an issue, since noone owns guns here. But seeing as I'm located in an appartment flat on the second floor in the middle of a medium city, virtually surrounded by high traffic streets, my poor kitty is doomed to stay inside, which is heartbreaking for me. But at least he's safe here, he would be ran over a car for sure if he ever got out..

Mine are indoor cats, I have tried taking them out on a harness but they were all thoroughly unimpressed.

Where I live it is legal to shoot a cat or a dog that is on your property as long as you dispose of the carcass. So, my cats stay inside all the time. They are used to it and have never shown an interest in going outside, with the exception of my little Manx, Bella, she enjoys going out on a leash. I do have a couple of feral cats that I feed and they stay out side all the time.
