id hope so. cause you do realise they can tie through a kennel.. right?

People keep saying this but I have yet to see a video let alone a pic of it actually happening. Through a fence, gate, crate, kennel or what ever where's the proof? Or was it just someone who lied and didn't want to admit that they're dog escaped or they let it free roam while in heat. It's always hear say, I know with instincts and hormones where there's a will there's a way and yada yada yada. So somebody show me the way.

it could migrate... and supposedly theres some slight chance it may cause cancer.
Exactly. These are the possible issues. The pro's are obvious.
You can choose to tattoo instead, but most vets/shelters don't check for a tattoo, so it might go unnoticed. You can brand, but it will affect your dogs looks (make your dog ugly, lol), if that matters to you.

Personally both my dogs are chipped and no problems yet; the risks don't appear to be very high, and no method is perfect.

As for dogs tying through a kennel, raised kennels should get rid of that problem. If you don't know how to build one, there's a guide in Cali Jack's tip drill, I can send to you.

i dont know any people who just video tape accidental ties. but think about it... its just common sense, keep your bitch as far from reach of another male as possible. why would you even risk it? ontop of that, some dogs are well known for also shredding chain link to get in and out aswell as digging and etc.

Chipping the boys made me able to take them overseas with me when I got sent to the UK. So far neither of their chips has traveled. You do have to make sure you get the right kind though. Moose has an AVID and ISO. Apparently AVID (or I think it's AVID. I could have them backwards) is only able to be read by AVID readers which is pretty stupid in my opinion. I was deployed when they got to the UK and my husband left them out while he went to work (they had never been in kennels before the trip and had been stuck in those cages for about two days so he felt bad). Moose opened the front door to our house and walked out. If it wasn't for that chip I wouldn't have gotten called and would have had no idea. They have tags too but the shippers took their collars off while they were in transit.

Madison will be getting chipped just in case she ever escapes. She's got great recall and what not but considering I found her on the street she had to have gotten out from somewhere and could do it again. Every vet/shelter I have known have always scanned. Collars slip off and get lost but it's a lot harder to lose a microchip.

Unfortunately common sense is not as common as most people think. What's common to and for you may not be for the next person. If it's as common as people use it and say it is for dogs to tie through fences, crates or what not then there should be some evidence some where, yet no one has any. When they're tied it's not like they're going any where anytime soon especially if it's in a situation like that. How ever they go about getting at the female, chewing a hole they can get out of or into, going over or under what ever the barrier may be it's not the same as through it intact.

If anybody has that money shot, it's one I want and have to see before I believe it or even tell it to someone else.
