If they don't mean that it's a bandog I have no idea.

Probably just a mix bred dog, or some uninformed person.

Probably somewhere in the lines a Mastiff was introduced, some do this for bulk and size.

the official name is a bandog the more appropriate name is a mutt but i have seen many mastiff/APBT crosses that are excellent weight pullers

Our Jersey was labeled a staffordshire terrier/mastiff cross when we adopted her, but they said it was only an educated guess.

My pit/mastiff mix is an amazing dog!! Hercules was easily trained and stays in the house(potty trained in less than a week as a 4 month old puppy) 2 walks a day and he is in great shape. He is great around the kids 14, 10, and 5 (ages of my kids) and other dogs. Very easy to socialize with people and animals. Best dog I've ever owned!!

How come the ONE time I don't read the dates... *sigh* Normally I am the one yelling at people for responding to old threads.

Can I claim insanity?

Ya know, on SOME forums.. People WANT this lol. Maybe if we encouraged all the newbs to post in the same "Is my dog a Pit Bull?" thread or something? haha

You know, I wouldn't mind them bumping old threads if they actually had a question related to the topic.. But this annoys me
