I dont think he is going to pass it off as anything designer, he isnt that smart.

The good thing is if he cant find them homes he will probably keep most of them until he can. Thats what his Gma does when she breeds her chihuahuas.

He was asking me since pit bulls have large litters and the dad is a chi, how many babies he should expect.. I sat there for a second and told him.. Hmmm by my guess, about 40.

Lol

They're actually pretty cute when you get the right mix of hua hua and pit bull. I've always said if they had a real Pocket Pit or Teacup I would be like the Cat Lady or Chihuahua lady that probably has too many.

They're called different things which can make it hard to find pics.

i actually have a chipit. and i know he really is a chipit. we had our female pit an appt to get spayed and a few days before surgery, i went out to feed her and there was a chihuahua attached to her.. i was left with two options, abort them or let her have them. and obviously i chose the latter. and im glad i did. they were really cute, and went to wonderful homes. being pit mix i interviewed and investigated each home lol. but chipits arent that bad. i just wish ppl would stop makin a big deal out of mutts, callin em designer dogs, and yet, there are hundreds of mutts that are in shelters that need homes.

Pot meet kettle.. If you KNEW there are SO many mutts in shelters without homes, then why would you bring ANOTHER litter into the world? You just displaced 8-10 (don't know how big your litter was) other puppies that could have had homes instead of buying from a backyard breeder like yourself.

I think thats what he got her for, he killed his other dog by leaving it outside in the Arizona summertime.

Had her 2days later.

He isnt a very good dog owner
Oh that's so sad, i wan't to slap him with a stupid stick.
I can't even let my dogs get soaked in the rain during a toilet break without feeling guilty.

Someone having a mutt is not a big deal. Its a big deal when someone breeds them when, like you said, there are too many dogs in shelters as it is. Man, I couldn't imagine owning one of these dogs. I looked up some pictures and honestly they don't look that bad,. It's just that my favorite breed, crossed with an ankle biting breed doesn't feel "right".

I can't understand why you chose to let the female have the pups. You seem very aware of the shelter situation and yet you chose to allow a litter of mutts to be born when you had the spay already scheduled? Why not just go ahead with the spay? A few days after a mating and it's not even considered a spay-abort.

Every time I hear of someone buying a designer dog I think of every puppy that ended up in a trash bag in our shelter's freezer. I'm sure many of them were the exact same mixes as even the most popular designer dogs. But they weren't in pet shops or at a byb's home so they weren't good enough. They didn't have fancy 'designer' names. I know this is an old thread. Just had to throw that in there.

Also, an APBT and Chi mix is a frightening prospect. I do not like the temperments of Chis. I'm sure a little APBT thrown in there would probably work to mellow them out a little, but still. Sounds like something I'd stay far, far away from.

Thinking the same thing I would not want the temperament of a chi added to a bulldog mix
