Default hey yall
well as yall know i was planning on getting koda, about 2 months ago, well things just didnt work out and i wasnt able to get him for a few reasons, which broke my heart, cause i was so looking forward to him, and after that i was just depressed and didnt think it would ever happen, well it has, tomorrow i am picking up neo, they found him about a month ago starving and have nursed him back to health and cant keep him, there place wont allow it, so im going to go get him, i am so excited, this one is actually going to be a reality, so i am super excited i have had a lot of let downs with trying to find the right one for me, thought i had found him once but was let down. so wish me luck, dont know how old he is or if he is a mix or what, but i cant wait to get him home.

ok so i went and got him, i am going to have to do major socialization, he is skiddish, he is calming down some and is sitting next to me now as i type, he will sit for a minute then get up and walk around, he just came and layed down next to me, he is skiddish of the curtians, he was skiddish of trucks on the walk home, he was skiddish of me at first, so socloization will be alot of work but it can be done, i hope its not too late, what age do you think he is by the pictures? we are going to have to work on potty training, he just peed on my bed, he is pretty, thats for sure, and sweet, and will have to pick up my clothes as he just try to eat my pant leg, it has a rip in it from my bike, he came with 2 toys, he just went and picked one up,
anyway sorry for the minute by minute update but he will be great i think he just needs some work, as all puppies and dogs do if they havent had any, im guessing 8 or 9 months old, i will be taking him to the vet here soon, how much exercise is good for him during the day? we seriously have to work on leash training with him, he sucks at walking on a leash, but we will work on it,

It's a new environment so give him a little time to figure out what's going on...and as you said, make sure he gets socialized after he settles into his new loving home! Congrats!! he's one of the lucky ones

I walk mine a mile or two a day and then they get at the least 30 minutes of playtime and training in the backyard after I get home. Weekends is when they get to go have all day adventures to tire them out for the weekdays when I'm in and out of the house

Age! Mine did it when she turned about 3 months(shes around 6 months now) so I started giving her little bowls at a time, same with food. Make sure he's getting enough water but don't put it all down at one time. He will hopefully eventually grow out of it and slow down a bit

If the dog was gulping so much water that he was throwing it back up than either a) he wasn't allowed water often enough or b) he was allowed too much water when he was too hot from exercise.

Did you get him off Craigslist or what?

Has he had any vaccines? You mentioned walking him home.

At his age, it isn't HIS responsibility to remember he has to go outside.. It's yours.

Good luck with him. He's cute!

So you don't know how old he is... you don't know if he's had vaccines...

Did you bother to ask ANYTHING about this dog?

They've had him a month, you said. If he was starving and needed to be nursed back to health, he should have seen a vet during that time don't you think? A vet would give an estimation on age, and would recommend vaccines...

But to answer your question... Yes, I bothered to read your post.
