Ha. my neighbor is afraid of cats and told me that her son had to go to the hospital from a cat bite or scratch. I told my mom and she said "what was he doing to the cat?!"

My parents would have beat my ass if I treated a critter like that.

When I was three I found a teeny tiny kitten on a public playground and coaxed him to me. I tucked him down my shirt and proudly showed my mom She was less impressed lol.

I would smack the crap outta that child, too! Poor cat That kid is lucky it wasn't a dog who took his face off. Not to mention... Dumbass parents who think it's cute to let their kids behave like that!

/rant

All kids are monsters sometimes. I understand that. I just lose my grip when they act like monsters to an animal. I come from a long line of animal lovers. One of my youngest and strongest memories is of staying at my grandma''s house and watching her comfort her herd of pets during a really bad storm. I told my kids from a very young age that animals don't understand things the way we do and that they need us to protect them, provide for them and to respect that they have feelings too. Don't treat an animal in a way that would hurt or upset you. General "golden rule" stuff applied to all living things.

I have to admit i was a bit stunned, once I stopped laughing, that some parent thought that was cute and posted it online. My baby/toddler treated a pet like that i'd be both pissed and ashamed.

My roommates cat is like that everytime diesel or I walk by her... She's a bitch

If that was my son hitting the cat, his ass would be awful sore for a couple days. I'm sorry but hitting an animal that did nothing to deserve it is completely unacceptable.
