UPDATE: Took puppies to the vet for checkup and 1st shots....there was a flyer up about these puppies lol and they had already had their 1st shots a week before at 6 weeks. Soooo they are now 8 weeks old(7 when I took them to the vet). They are Pitbull/Husky/Beagle mix...this is from the original owners flyer. Vet said the females eyes should stay ice blue..thats the husky in her...but if they change thats ok too. I do love the blue though!
![]() Thanks for all the info and responses !!! I really appreciate it!! No matter what breed mix she is we love her and named her Sadie!! The boy puppy(the brown one) went to live with my cousin and his family in Colorado! I am going to post some better pictures..... |

Oh how neat, well now you know! (Although I'm not sure where the merle pattern would come from with those three breeds, so there may still be some Catahoula in there still. Were any others in the litter merle?) She is one GORGEOUS puppy, that's for sure. I love those blue eyes, love her markings and pattern. She looks like she's going to be big! You'll have to keep posting us pics as she grows.

I was gonna say Catahoula could be in 'em too! I see it in the first pup more so.
And I see a li'l bully being a possibility but wait until there like 6-12months old and keep updated pics as the grow. It'll be easier to guestimate as they mature. I hope no matter what they turn out to look like, or what size, you are ready to commit and not just rehome them when they are a year old and not what you expected. You should never have expectations as far as looks/size/etc with mixed breeds/ |

Thanks for the concern but I would NEVER take in a puppy that I would not keep forever! I love ALL dogs no matter what they look like. That would be like me giving away a child because I didnt like its hair color or something. The only reason I would ever find a different home is if I was forced out of my home or something. Even then I would just give my dogs to my dad till I could relocate. But I own my home free and clear so I dont have to worry about losing it. I have 2 - 90 lbs dogs at home now(had both since 8 weeks old, they are currently 2 & 3 yrs)....chocolate lab and a golden retriever...so I can handle anything that comes at me with this little one and if I cant I will figure out how to. Thanks for the concern though!

The brown one is sable! SO CUTE!
I still am going to call bullshit on the mix, though lol I'm sure neither of the parents were purebred, and they were guessing that's what they are. I fostered a litter of puppies... I was told the dam was St. Bernard/Aussie/Pit Bull and the father was Pointer/Hound... ended up with a puppy that looks like a Patterdale, one that looks like a Kelpie, one that looks like a long haired Pit Bull, one that looks like a black Husky (with one blue eye)... and they vary in weight from 20lbs to 60lbs LOL so, you never know with mixed breed litters ![]() |

Not sure if Im posting in the right thread....hopefully I am!. I have a 6 week puppy that was from a lady looking to find 2 puppies a home. SHe said she took them from someone that was mistreating them. Then she realized she couldnt keep them so she was looking for a home. They are brother and sister. I think we have decieded to keep the female. I was just curious if they were really pit bulls and if they are what kind are they. I didnt know if anyone could tell by just a picture. Thanks soo much!! By the way they are both the sweetest little puppies! The white one is the female ...brown one is male.

As said, no way to know for sure without a ped. Cute pups.
---------- Post added at 10:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:02 PM ---------- No one can tell you for sure with out paper work. However as far as I know merle is NOT a color in bully breeds (please correct me if I'm wrong) so they can NOT be pure bred. They might be catahoula x bully mixes. I know they're becoming popular around here for hog dogs. |
