Take them both into the vet NOW. If it IS parvo, the sooner you catch it the better.

Also, BLEACH EVERYTHING.

Blood smells like copper.

Parvo smells like death... like they are rotting from the inside.

wait so then i have a chance its like a irritated bowel?( anything but parvo)
The way to explain how my room smells is take a penny. stick it in your mouth. and my room smells how that penny taste.(which i cleaned and bleached right away)
I am waiting for a call back from one of my bosses to see if i can get off work otherwise i have to go to work at 2 am which means my wife is going to have to suck up her fear of the freeway and take them herself.

yeah, when I had one with parvo it smelled like straight nasty ass soaked in swamp water. I really hope for the best for you guys.

I still think you're doing right by taking them in though.

I would be worried about the amount of blood it would take to smell the copper... So they definitely need to go in. As far as whether or not it could be something else... I don't know.

They could be constipated or have blockages.

Basically the smell is the virus eating away at the intestines. At least that was my understanding from what the vet told me

At this point i am praying for anything but parvo.. but it seems like a lot of people have had at least once experience with it like it is really common.

oh god.
please not Parvo!!

Once you "taste" the smell of parvo, you will never ever forget it. It is a sweet rotten smell.
