We have the Tux and Bumi. She likes to whip the Bumi around, even if it means hitting herself in the process. We throw it across the house and play tug with it. She has, so far, only gotten off one of the bulb ends, and we've had it for a long time.

As for the tux, she hasn't played with it too much, most likely because she doesn't get to squish it with her jaws, they are pretty thick. And we have it on the end of one of her flirt poles.

I've heard the black Kongs are the way to go, so that's up next to try.

Default Pit Bull approved toys
Anyone have any toys that have stood the test of time? We have spent approximately $75 in toys in the 2 months we have had our Pit, because she can rip any toy to shreds. Her jaw is so friggin strong.

nylabones, the BIG ones, are the ONLY things I've found so far that keep up mildly with our two, even these I stock up on if I find them on sale though! Forget anything cloth or stuffed. lol I'm sure other's will chime in with more suggestions as well. I've heard of old tires can be used outside, but make sure they're not steel-belted ones.

Check out Goughnuts http://www.goughnuts.com/

My boy has one of the donut ones and has yet to damage it. We've had it a couple years. So far they are the best toy I've found for heavy chewers plus they are guaranteed. Looks like they have some new designs, too!

Kongs work for my pitty. We always get the giant ones and freeze peanut butter & treats in it, so it'll keep them occupied for a while. Good luck!

$75 you got off cheap! lol Nylabones, the Galileo is very durable and increase the amount of time you exercise the little guy. I just recently order a "Goughnuts" ball waiting to receive it but they guarantee a free replacement if your dog chews through it. It costs $26 which is not much more than the other balls that do not have a guarantee. We will see......A sturdy spring poll is great exercise and most Pits LOVE them.

Mine get Galileo bones, black kongs, Orbee 'World' balls and bully sticks. They've got some fleece tugs that I make, and Rosie gets a tennis ball once in a while, but that's about it.

I've found the best prices for Galileo bones at Jeffers.com

Cuz toys hold up pretty well for mine, and chuck it balls.
You could try getting a rope toy and freezing it.

Another vote for chuck it balls. I pay around $6 per ball, a heckuva lot more than a tennis ball, but he's yet to actually ruin one, we just lose them! We always have a two-pack on hand.

Other than that we buy a lot of disposable toys that we tug with when we rough house but nothing much really holds up. But Hades is not a big chewer of toys. He destroys them when we play with them together, but he won't just sit down and rip a toy apart.

His hurley dumbell has lasted a few seasons, but he only gets to fetch it in the pool and than it goes away.

The only balls that last around here and still get hard play are official lacross balls. Super cheap too! and free if you ask a lacross player!
