Default Doggy dingle berries lol
So I just got back from walking Sam and we had a little embarassing moment on our walk lol.. She stopped to poop and after her poop she was still squating all weird so I looked at her butt and she had a dingle berry (stray piece of poop dangling from the butt).. So I use my baggie to try to pick it off but no.. It was attached to a PIECE OF STRING that was still halfway up her butt lol.. And its stuck. I try to gently aid it out but it wont budge.. I need to get her home but I dont have a knife or scissors to at least cut the poop off the dangling string so we walk halfway home with this dingle berry flopping around (thats the embarassing part lol).. Finally she stopped to poop the rest out. Thank god! I really didnt want to spend my saturday at the vet for an emergency dingle berry removal!

Ever had to help remove a DB off your dog? How about in public!? I should mention, much of this scene all went down in front of a bunch of guys playing soccer...

Amy eats grass like it's going out of style, and I've occasionally had to pull a piece of grass or two that were still hanging out and driving her crazy. She'll do the butt scoot until it's gone usually so I just pull it out for her.

The things we do for love.

Too funny...I've had to do that more times than I can count, and it's either grass, string, or long hair....yuck. If I'm really stuck, I will "chopstick" those dingleberries off...just get two sticks and kind of work it out that way.

I have no shame.

Oh and BTW, the technical term for those things are "will nots"....as in will not fall off.

LOL! Been there, done that! Including one time infront of a bunch of guys having a BBQ at the park... so you're not alone in the embarrassment factor! haha. The worst was one time it was a shred of rope, and the dog thought it would be funny to try to chase it *face palm*

To all my dogs:

Don't get any ideas. Just because other owners are willing to dig shit out of their dogs asses don't mean I will. I don't care if you're shitting barbed wire, you're on your own.

That is all.

You say that now but we all know you would be helping them in a heart beat

I've done it many times usually its my hair that gets stuck and I usually just get a leaf and get it off.
I'm gross I know

It happens to me all of the time.
One time Willow was outside, took a poop...got up...ran about two steps...stopped...looked behind her..and just started WIGGLING and rolling around on the ground, practically doing flips in the air because she must have gotten some of my hair, and there was a DB hanging out of her butt...Boyfriend and I were practically pissing ourselves when he had to pull it out.

The conversations in this forum I'm laughing so hard remembering all the times I've gone and 'assisted' my dogs because of this happening. The worst time was when it first happened to my old dog, he flipped out so badly. Ran whining back inside the house cause his poop was hanging by a hair. I was cracking up so badly the neighbors came out to see what was going on. Memories.
