You can't fix stupid.Look dog parks are a bad idea in general.Ok if you don't take into account all the dogs that might be there.Say none are aggressive at all(keep wishing) no fights happen. How do u know their dogs have had their shots ,or doesn't have any illnesses? I take great care in exercising my dog by riding a bike and having my dog run next to me for 1 hour.I also hike through the trails with my dog on a 12 foot rope leash from 1 to 3 hours, depends on my time frame. Some people are just lazy and won't get off their fat asses. They want to let their dog run while they read a paper or book.Maybe if they got their fat asses out there and walked their dogs they would be in better health.

and as far as fetch if i play with both the girls at once i got to have two balls throw one for violet and then after that i will throw it they will both run to it violet will realize she cant hold both in her mouth and so she drops the old one and runs with it and then ruckus brings me the other one back to throw it again lol

I can't believe how some idiots think its alright to take their dogs to dog parks/beaches when the dog has some sort of aggression to people/dogs. When I go to the dog park to take photos (without my dogs). I've seen dogs that are terrified of other dogs, dogs that want nothing to do with dogs but ignore them and the owners get angry, I've seen dogs that are snappy towards people.

Why the hell do people take their dogs to public crowded places when the dog shouldn't be there and is clearly stressed and not having any fun!?. I don't get it. I'd love more then anything to take Serenity to the beach that's close to me but I can't because she'd freak out so I'll drive further for her to a beach that's empty (when I can drive). People don't get why I don't bring my dogs to the dog park. They say 'She'll get over it'. Right.

It sucks having such a anti social dogs at times since there's places I wish I could take her but can't BUT there is plenty of places I can find and then she'll enjoy herself. I dislike people myself so it doesn't bother me to much. I feel better then because I don't need to stress about all the other dogs/people around me, which I do. I do like having a social dog though because when I can drive and want to take photos of strange dogs, I'll take Sunny to the dog beach and leave Serenity at home. I like I can take him anywhere so I will sometimes, when it's just me and him time.

My teenage son has a huge trampoline for practicing BMX tricks. Boo discovered it and we cannot keep her off of it! Her favorite thing to do is take her toys out and make puppy popcorn on it. It does wear her out pretty quick.

I am super lucky that I have a friend with a ton of dogs. She built her own private dogpark that is 2 acres. It even has pools in the summer. As soon as the weather is more predictable we are going to start introducing Boo into her group, one dog at a time. I can't wait! And she also teaches obedience, agility and rally, and specializes in the bully breeds.

I just gotta say it. I've lost 50 pounds in the year I've had Romeo. He's the best motivation I've ever had to get up and get active. I'm still over weight but it's a huge improvement. They say owning a dog is good for your health and it's very true in my case.

We don't have any real dog parks near where I live. There are a couple unofficial ones that people go to that are FILTHY!! Even if I had a dog that I felt comfortable taking to a dog park setting I wouldn't because if they can't even be responsible enough to pick up after their dogs I don't want to be around them. If I want to let Romeo run loose I just go to a friend or family member's house who has a fenced in yard and let him run other wise it's on the leash around town. It's good enough in my opinion.

That's awesome Nyli! Congratulations on your weight loss! I've been losing too thanks to the extra exercise. Amy's job is to be my trainer

"well, it's a shame but I can't really bring my dog to the dog park anymore because he tries to attack children. And then there was this other incident. My dog was playing a little rough with another dog, but the other dog's owner didn't mind, and this woman came over and grabbed my dog's collar and yanked him away from the other dog, and my dog bit her. She called the police and my dog had to be quarantined and ended up being put on a registry. Completely unfair because she had no business grabbing my dog's collar."

and then...

"So now I try to go to the dog park only when there aren't a lot of other dogs or children there."

EGADS, woman! I told her that dog parks are a terrible idea, especially for pit bulls, because like she saw no matter what the pit bull is going to get blamed.

What a freaking loon. When did people get this idea that they have to have off-leash time for their dog? And that dog parks are for everyone? Not to mention if her dog has been put on a registry that means it's been declared dangerous/vicious and should not even be out without a muzzle.
And this is the sort of idiot that gives the breed a bad rap outside of BYBs who simply breed for money and don't give two cents about their dogs' temperament.

Hey! Now THAT is a lazy persons ideal dog to exercise. You just have to throw the ball once or twice and she exercises herself!

If I don't throw the ball immediately upon it's return, and can ignore the screaming that ensues, he'll eventually quiet down and settle for destroying whatever expensive fetch object was thrown! I will trade you any day for Amy's low key fetch skillz!!!
Love Amy's ears by the way too....

And likewise wish my boys had her low level fetch. Tep needs at least an hour, an hour and a half, of good excerise - fetch, tug, etc - to even think of stopping... he'll push himself to collapse if I'm not careful and Omega doesn't need as much work but if he's ignored he'll tear whatever he's got to pieces.

My shadow, Bella, thankfully not as much. 30 mins and she's done.

Forgot to add, I'm fortunate in that a friend owns and breeds horses and over the weekend I use his arena as a sort of excerise pen - snow, rain, weather doesn't matter. It's about 100 feet x 200 feet, so you can imagine the boys run themselves into the ground.
