Color Preferences?

Since I haven't seen any threads like this I suppose I'll ask, what coat colors are your personal favorites in dogs?

I adore brindles, fawns, black and white, red, and tricolor dogs. Most blues I can't stand because they are so horribly bred and peddled. It makes me sick. SOME are not bad but it's a slim few. My very first dog was a black lab so I guess that is why I love them (the breed and coloring) http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif Second was tricolor, third fawn and I just like the red coloration.

So what do you prefer?

There was actually an identical thread a matter of perhaps a few weeks to a month ago. For the fun of it though... Black,Seal, Black Brindle and Tri

I love a black dog, black and white is what I wanted.. but as everyone knows... I ended up with a blue dog lol never again though

frequensearules 02-03-2012 10:42 PM

Yeah, there are tons of threads like this LOL

I don't so much as have preferred colours as preferred patterns - I love brindle, tri-colour/tan pointed, and piebald.

Though I do really like black dogs, too!

LSDDSL 02-03-2012 10:42 PM

Black, black and white, seal ....and sometimes red

bestworkother 02-03-2012 10:47 PM

Okay so let me rephrase then, no extremely RECENT threads like this lol. And Teal I'm not familiar with tan pointed?

liontutuxx 02-04-2012 12:08 AM

At this point Id go for anything thats not dilute lol I actually prefer neat markings over the actual color itself

Tan pointed is like a tri-colour, minus the white. Rottweilers and Dobermans are tan pointed breeds http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

^ Teal - unless you are from Canada or the UK, it's 'color' ... http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/wink.png (sorry - I was thinking about that in bed last nite...)

Black is my favorite!!! Seal would be next and I also like a good deep red. Don't like most brindle. Blue tri is also striking to me.

All whites are eye candy for me....id never buy one tho too many health issues, but i do like brindles and some chocolates

nerrttrw 02-04-2012 02:39 AM

In APBTs I love buckskins, black and black/white dogs, light chocolate, mahogany brindle, red, light fawn.

GSDs, dark sables, bicolors.

Chiquita 02-04-2012 02:42 AM

love the chocolate or white

violetgorman 02-04-2012 02:47 AM

I'm not really too particular on colors..if I like the dog, the color doesn't matter.

Now, if only you could hear me talk... lol

Onervemurce 05-03-2012 05:21 PM

I like them all but i have to say brindle would be my favorite

N1bNXuDb 05-03-2012 11:20 PM

chocolate or red first, brindle a close second.

SerycegeBunny 05-03-2012 11:28 PM

Everything but blue and merle. I wouldn't pay a red cent for a dog of either color unless it was a proven adult.

But I guess if I had to pick a favorite which I hate to do because color is the #1 LEAST IMPORTANT part of a dog... I guess I'd say black and tan, which stems from my love of Dobes I guess. I'm pretty fond of Abbey's color which is apparently a very deep/dark red fawn (thanks SevinSins).

PIORARMADDERI 05-03-2012 11:41 PM

I just wanted to say in Canada we say favOUrite, fibRE, theatRE, centRE, colOUr, neighbOUr, etc etc etc.

I like red w/white, seal, dark brindles, black w/tan points, and in all honesty I like blue, especially blue tri's. Will I ever own a blue dog? Probably not unless it's off Torque LOL! So no.

I also really love a deep chocolate.

Wezfyowk 05-04-2012 01:55 AM

I love a good brindle! Brindle and white is nice too! Buckskin http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

Don't much care for blue or merle...

Savviioor 05-04-2012 01:57 AM

I'm partial to darker colored dogs, simply because they don't look dirty as quickly, but color is a plus for me, not a selling pointExtremely not fond of merle patterning
