Fluffy tug toys?.
 

Hey,

Does anyone know a link to a good tough tug toy that won't break easily?.

Serenity's favorite game is tug and she likes the fluffy tug toys but is there anything tough enough that is kind of fluffy?.

Please, I cannot find any tough tug toys that are fluffy and durable.

Here's a example of the sort of toy she likes, don't mind the shape, just the fluffiness (it's the cream colored toy).

Good luck with that. I have tried a ton of fluffy toys in hopes the dogs wouldn't immediately destroy them and had no luck. I got a Wubba like the red one in your pic and they had the material stripped off it in less than 2 hours.

We've decided the only things we'll but our dogs is black Kongs, Orbee balls and Galileo bones. I do make them fleece tugs, and those hold up fairly well. And I only buy the fleece on sale, so it's really cheap to make a few tugs. If you can use scissors and braid, they are super easy to make.
Someone told the new blue Knogs hold up better than the black. I got a couple to try. Within an hour, it was 1/2 gone.

Yeah, sometimes having a powerful breed sucks. My dogs seem to go through phases where they like a different texture on their toys. I really wish there was some sort of fabric that they couldn't rip to shreds in minutes. I tried fleece and terry cloth rope braiding for them, but the APBT's seem to have mastered poking a tooth into the fabric and working it until they can rip and shred. Usually takes anywhere from a half hour to an hour.

Petsmart sells a "durable" line of toys. I've literally gone through one of each lol, even though there made to last longer, I get roughly 1, day out of each toy before it has a big hole or broken sqeaker. However, and don't ask me why, but the pig durable toy I got almost a month out of. Were actually going in the morning to get another one

We tug with ropes now, that's it.

Every other toy that has been used in a tug game has resulted in it's death.

I bought some stupid expensive leather dummy and first bite, hole. By the end of the first tug session it was ruined, holes, stuffing coming out, the handle snapped early on. Cost me $40.

We rough house with the wubbas as a target for latching onto and we do a little tugging with them, but their shape is so awkward and he never goes for the balls, he always goes for the ropey handles which is closer to our hands of course.

Hades doesn't bother much with toys unless we're playing with him. He'll shred frisbees or balls if you throw them and then leave him to his own devices, but he's not one to just destroy a toy all on his own. He's got a huge toy bin that we go to before we play rough, but he won't pluck a toy out of there on his own. Best ball ever was the Chuck it rubber balls though. Expensive, I pay about $5 a ball, but he hasn't destroyed one to date and he'll go throw a tennis ball in 2 minutes flat.

My dog actually didn't like toys unless he could shred the crap out of them. So we just gave him cardboard tubes from wrapping paper/paper towels/toilet paper. His favorite was a big tire- "tire biter" the biggest one from PetCo they are kind of pricey though.

Those fleece tugs they have are just like the ones I make my dogs, except mine don't have fur in them. And I don't pay nearly that price. WOW!! I could make a bunch of them for their prices.

Are your fleece toys long lasting Kit?.

Yeah. I've had a couple for several months..Others not so long. But they are cheap to make, so I don't mind.
Just go to a fabric store, buy a yard or so of polar fleece (on sale around $5/yard). Cut into 3" strips, tie a knot in the end, braid, tie a knot in the other end.
You can also add loops, if wanted.

The dogs play tug with it together. If it can stand up to a 3 way tug, I'd say it's pretty darn strong.

I have a fleece tug toy for Mako that has rabbit fur woven in. He goes crazy for that thing! I bought it from TilliesTuggies on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/TilliesTuggies?ref=seller_info)

It's held up fine, but he is only 19 weeks old. I might order from them again, but i'll be getting a large next time.
