That's the site owner's purebred, CKC registered, American Pit Bull Terrier. Haha. It's definitely not an APBT. The owner of the site is an idiot. Have you read the breed descriptions on that site? It's ridiculous.

according to the photograph, the dog is a year and 7 months. It's really out of shape for that age. It should have solid structure by now, not all that baby fat. If it weighs 80 pounds now, it should weight about 65 in shape... which is not big, it's normal.
we have an expert in the house... woo hooo!!

The point we were making was that a pound of anything may weigh a pound but it doesn't look the same. You see a fit and muscular dog and a fat, out of shape dog side by side. They both weigh the exact same, but look totally different. You perceive the fat dog as weighing more.

And you are right about that, they do look heavier when they're fat even if they weigh the same.

I'm not even sure the dog is overweight now. I followed the link that Little pointed out and in the video the dog doesn't seem that fat. Little is right, it's not a pit. Whatever it is just has an awkward design.

I dont think the comment is correct and wise ! Please think before you write something, atleast the owner has a site and loves what she does. Are you better, do you have a site, anything about pitbulls and dogs or do you sleep, eat and drink with this forum ? I dont understand why you would be naming the owner names, again are you better then her?

Who gives a shit about A SITE? There are tons of sites that people make about Bull Dogs, and I highly doub that makes them BETTER then people who dont have a site.

I didnt read ALL of the comment in this post. But, What is the purpose of this thread? Still stuck on tryin to find yourself 'PURE BRED PIT BULL' ?

You do know that Dogbreedinfo.com is not a very good site at all, right? I've gone through quite a few of their pages and a lot of the information there is not correct. A web site that puts out incorrect and/or incomplete information for anyone to read and believe is just...bad.

Typically if you have to ask, then the answer is no.

In this case, I'd simply search the site (or contact the owner) and ask for the pedigree.

I agree. If there is a pedigree on this dog, they would probably provide the info without you having to ask for it.

He's a cute pup. Are you wanting to show him? In my opinion, he's way too thick to be a pure bred APBT.... at 80lbs, he's probably more on the AmBully side than APBT.

Purely based on looks and size, I'd call it an Am Bully.

That is one thing I don't like about having little 40 pound balls of muscle... they're about as comfortable for pillows as lumpy rocks LOL
