Default How did your dog feel?
Disclaimer: This is a light-hearted thread. If you're here to start drama and/or get off topic, take it elsewhere. Thanks.

How did your dog feel when you chopped of his balls or spayed her?

I'll start:

Bentley felt relieve that he would no longer be sitting on them and squashing them in uncomfortable positions.

Jasmine is glad that we let her keep playing with her un-neutered boyfriend while he unsuccessfully and humorously tried to hump her.

I'm pretty sure that Lugz was just happy that I came back and got him....It was the first time he had been away from the 3 people he loves the mostest. And he hated the cone...proof was that he kept beating us with it every chance that he got.

When we first got Tegan, she was still heavy with milk since they did not wean her properly before selling her puppies. She went right into heat again as they were starting to dry up, and then into a false pregnancy. Her poor body was just so used to pumping out puppies over and over again.

My vet had never seen anything like it!

When we could finally get her in for her spay, it was a huge relief that she would never again have to experience another heat, another false or real pregnancy and having puppies ripped away from her much too soon.

She can finally be herself now, without a care in the world! and I wouldn't want it any other way!

I'll find out in a week -- that's when Nitro is going in for his big chop. I'm not looking forward to the whole cone thing.

Goren did not feel anything either way, he was so young I think he really didn't know what was happening, he didn't even mess with his incision at all

Dax felt like she was stoned out of her mind. They would not let us adopt her until she was spayed, so she went from being starved and abused, to the humane society, to the vet and into my minivan with 3 excited boys. I am sure she felt like she was in a 1970's LSD fueled movie. Incidentally, she did not have a cone. And she barfed all day.

Diesel didn't even look down there. I'm pretty certain he has no idea what happened. He was more worried about a mosquito bite on his inner thigh than he was about having an empty sack!!

Jake keeps asking for new ones for christmas, and Harley says she is so glad she doesn't have to go through that girl stuff any more. Conner just laughs at both of them as he licks his.

Rita was pretty relieved to not have heats and false pregnancies. She hates dripping all over, being banished to blankets and having to constantly clean her girl parts.

Ike felt like a drunken sailor on leave and I'm not sure if he's even noticed the family jewels are gone.

Gauge was up and ready to play about 5 minutes after he woke.

I had him done at a low cost clinic where I was volunteering that day..twas odd to watch him get neutered then wake him up myself XD..

5 minutes later he was up and ready to play.

Harley was 6 months so I dont think he knew what happened. At 2 1/2 hes just figuring out the whole leg lifting deal but he still acts unsure. We always have a hard time calling him a boy lol

Indy was just annoyed at having to sit still when she felt fine. Never would have known she went though surgery.

Well, the vet told me Arez REALLY liked morphine so I guess she felt high.

Considering Tanks were sportin' a mast cell tumor, he probably felt glad to be alive!

Buster didn't care, Rudy was pissed and went to hide when we got him home from the vet, and Dixie had no problems at all.

I think Luigi was relieved that his TINY, would be embarassing for a toy poodle, peanut balls were gone and we were now only making fun of his equally tiny weiner. People always think he's a girl, I guess they think "she has a little outy belly button" It's really unfortunate. He was thrilled that people were playing with him and touching him, everyone at the office was in love with him when i went to get him, and he never acted distressed at all.

My little Vito (RIP) removed all his stiches him self the first night we had him (We adopted him the day he was neutered) but healed just fine and never seemed bothered.

Ruger STILL holds it against me! Every time I blame him for something, he shoots right back with - "Yeah?! Well remember that time you got me neutered?!" but if we continue arguing his NEXT thing to hold against me is, "Yeah?! Well remember that time you had my tooth extracted?!"... There is no pleasing this mutt! lol

Oh i am sure Blu is thrilled! Because she was used as a breeding.. She had her puppies in the first week of October and they were taken away LESS THEN 8 WEEKS OLD! The owner before me dropped her off at the shelter on October 19th and refused to tell the shelter where they were I try not to think about it too much....

Beastley seemed very pleased that he didn't have to worry about his large baubles knocking between his legs.
