I figured I'd share a bit of good news and changing the perception of our loving breed. (not sure if this belongs in this forum; if not I appoligize)

I took my 3 month old, Bella to Petsmart this past Saturday to get some new food, a new toy and just a chance to roam around. (She had a vet trip with some shots, so I wanted to spoil her a bit) As she was walking beside the cart next to me I had a little girl (maybe 6 or 7 years old) ask if she could pet my dog. I told her of course and made her sit. As the child was petting Bella she said, "what kind of dog is she"? When I told her she was a pit, she kind of pulled back at first, but then said "oh, I didn't know they were so nice"

This melted my heart and I was so happy I could change one person's view on this great breed, especially as I assume she just had the common mis-conception from adults.

Lovely. It's great to be able to broaden a persons perceptions about our dogs & move past the myths.

start changing what ppl think when ur dog is 8-9+months old. Then you will be getting somewhere. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png puppies...are ..well. just puppies.
