So.. i went to pet smart the other day and i seen something called BULLY STICKS. They were PRETTY FREAKIN PRICEY. for 2 of the longer ones with maybe a lil less then dime in thickness, 30$
![]() I am wondering how long do these last for hardcore chewers? Do any of you get them for ur pups? Any place that you find them cheaper? How often do you give them to your pups? Sorry with all the questions...just curious if they are worth the price. |

Veronica is quite the fan of the bully stick.
We buy the long ones and let her eat about a third or a fourth at a time and then take it away and save the rest for another day. It seems to keep her busy for awhile...maybe 30 minutes at a time; maybe a little longer , I never paid that much attention. I always make sure I am buying an American product...because I'm paranoid. It usually doesn't say but you can ask the vendor where they come from. We get ours in a little upscale doggy "boutique". ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I get the 9 or 12" ones from BestBully.com MUCH, MUCH cheaper than any local store. You can almost always find a coupon, (10% off, or free shpping) especially if you 'like' them on FB.
The more you buy, the cheaper they get. I usually get 25 or 50 at a time. ---------- Post added at 11:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:23 AM ---------- Oh yeah, 9-12" will last my dogs about 45 minutes or so. |

LOL, yes they are *all* bull penises. They are stretched... a LOT. Ehm... they aren't stretched THAT much. Have you ever dissected a bull? lol I agree that they aren't for HEAVY chewers... antlers are much better. I used to get bully sticks when the local pet store gave me REALLY good deals on them... but they've shut down now, and prices everywhere else are insane. |

Wow they've lasted 45 mins for some of you?? Bentley had a 9" one that lasted all of 10 mins. He's not even that heavy of a chewer! I want to try the 3' long ones though. One time I wasn't paying attention and I let her eat half of it before I took it away...and she promptly threw up most of what she had eaten. Then when the rest came out the other end it didn't look so pretty either. I guess she's a delicate little lady with a small stomach. ![]() |

To answer the OP's question, I grabbed some for both my pups (7 and 9 week) this weekend. I didnt pay attention to the price but the total was almost $70. Thats was including a 30lb bag of TOTW for $38 then the four bully sticks. So the sticks were about $8 each, yea pricey. So far they've had one stick each once a day since sunday and they've barely made a dent on them sticks lol. They love them though, and they stay chewing on them for atleast an hour. These were about a 1.5 foot lenght sticks.
