Hello everyone. I am curious whether or not my puppy is a pitt mix or a boxer mix. You can see the mastiff in him clearly but as to what else is there, I am uncertain and hoping someone here could shed some light. I am dieing to know, thanks in advance!

Honestly I don't see pit bull in your dog at all or boxer he looks like she looks like she may have some shepherd in him or mastiff.. Without a pedigree you will never know, just enjoy him. Cute puppy though!!

Only time will tell what your pup will turn out to be. At that age, there are several breeds that look similar and it's hard to say. But whatever s/he is, that's a good looking healthy pup.

Well I was viewing some images via google, and saw a few mastiff/pit mixes, and it looks exactly like him. Breeder told me you could tell that it was a pit by the fang? No clue how much truth there is to this. Just trying to see if someone could shed some light on how I could tell exactly if he has pit in him or not.

Well, you never will know unless you knew what the parents are or have a pedigree. Just enjoy him.

I wouldn't call the person you obtained your pup from a "breeder".

Okay, well seeing as how the human being that brought both dogs into deliberate contact for the purpose of having an animal birth young, "breeder" seemed appropriate. Also the father was a 60-70 pound mastiff and the mother was an American Pit. Maybe a red pit? Not too knowledgeable myself.

He is around 13 weeks and 12 pounds. Also thank you! I don't think he has hit his growth spurt yet. When I saw the mother, she was decently sized. More on the slender/built side. The father was very slender though. Not large at all.

Thirdly mastiffs are not 60-70 pounds...even the smaller mastiff breeds females run 80+.......
It sounds like the "breeder" doesn't know what actually happened.

I guess because I keep getting mixed reviews from everyone. Sorry just trying to better educate myself and possibly find some indications as to tell what mix he is.

A pit bull's 'fangs' are no different than any other dogs. That is absolutely no indication as to the dog's breed.

Honestly sounds like you have a pup to just love no matter what he is....heinz 57. At that weight, likely no mastiff..... but who knows, mutts are great, I love mine!
