It matters not. Pit bulls especially American Pit Bull Terriers vary considerably in size. Just look at the dogs parents for the best idea as to a dogs final size. Some pit bulls are 40 pounds at six months and other never reach 40 pounds. The fact that people seem to be so obsessed on size, color, etc seems weird to me since pit bulls more than most breeds, vary considerably in those areas and that is part of the beauty of the breed.

Also weight is a large part due to conditioning. I have seen several 65 lb dogs that really should weigh 47 or 50.
