Thanks Krista, Blue Brindle - OK - we do hear that from people - but we hear a lot. Granite has those massive ears so people have a lot of suggestions as to his background. But he was in 2 shelters for 3-4 months before we grabbed him - so its all a mystery.

bat ears are more common in these breeds than people think... you rarely see it in ambullys because most have cropped ears, same with amstaffs. hell, heres el's APBT..

I am not sure what his color is because the exposure is funny (cell phone pic?)... but that bubby lip and those big 'ol ears make me want to scoop him up and SQUEEZE him!

Definitely brindle, not so much with the sable. Cute though!

I heart Twister!

My girl has a lot of brindle striping in her sable coat. Its often called Agouti coloration in sled dogs.
I don't have great pics of it but you can sorta see some of the striping on her legs... she's got stripes going down the top of her back too.

And my other girl is just plain ol' red sable.

I agree with everyone on here saying Blue brindle

they say my boy is Sable, here are some photos in different light/time of year so you might be able to see how he is sable and your pup is not

Yea - out of the Shelter his name was Apache - but my wife thought it might be to "mean" - so we had arraigned an evaluation, ahead of time, at pet smart ( granite was joining or 4 other dogs and we wanted to know what to expect) he passed with flying colors and we changed his name during that session.
of the 5 dogs he is the only one that knows commands. - Joe

Sure is cute. He reminds me of a Thai Ridgeback.

As for his coloring, I'd say I agree with Krista, blue brindle.

Be cautious with Granite and your other dogs though. Remember to read these threads!
