It's scary seeing my dog love strangers and try to run up and lick them. He is my dog and I don't want him to look at everyone as friends. He listens to me and my wife but when strangers come around it's PLAYTIME for him. WHY!!!!!? I need him to no that everyone isn't friends. He's 8 months btw

Him being a puppy let alone is one reason he's so happy and friendly
![]() If indeed you do desire and are favoring a dog to be less approachable/weary of strangers, you should have furthered your research on distinct breeds who posses and are more common among those traits/characteristics. If however you would just prefer for you pup to not display such excitement towards strangers while on walks, that can be trained as ignitethis has stated. |

One of the main reasons I love the breed is their love sluttiness. Definitely should have looked into a guardian breed if aloof wariness is what you were looking for. ![]() Shit, I have a "guardian breed' (Rottweiler) and apparently he's picked up on my APBT's sluttiness. ![]() |
