We don't even have an AC here and the cops are nearly nonexistant. ![]() |

I take them to a 100+ acre park where there's never anyone to exercise, either that or the local elementary school that's fully fenced. Not like they don't get exercise LOL, I just don't risk walking them around the neighborhood anymore. Yup, that's mostly what we do, too. We take them to the elementary school, or the public little baseball field that is fenced in. We luckily also have a 100 acre park (where most of my pictures are) where they can just RUN and hunt and be dogs... but that one sometimes has other people, so it's hit or miss if we get to enjoy it or not. Luckily the last few times I've gone, it's been EMPTY! |

I carry a knife. I'm not afraid to kill a bitch. I cut a dog on the nose pretty good once. ![]() ![]() I used to carry a stick but it is not as effective. Some dogs still keep coming even if you are hitting them. If you stab them, those buggers turn back & run away like they just seen the devil. |

knives , swords wtf .are you trying to kill the dog or just make it f@ck off ? with a knife you had better know what you are doing b/c you could get charged with causing unnecessary suffering ! and you couldd get bit by a pissed off rabid dog ! also bear in mind that accidents will and do happen ,lets say your out with your dog he goes after a rabbit or whatever and ends up mixing it with someones leashed dog, seconds before you get there they stab or chop your dog with a sword ,seconds is all it would take.would you be happy about that ? i know what i would do to someone stabbing my dog ,but that is not for a public forum !!

My dog wouldn't be going after anything because I keep them secured in my yard with supervision or leashed. However, if one f them did go after someone or their dog because an accident happened and they were loose, it would be my fault if that person killed my dog in defense of themselves or their dog. I can't very well blame someone for doing the same thing I would do. |

If nothing else works to get the dog away from you, then certain measures should be taken. Most sane dogs will run off if you kick them, but if the dog keeps coming at you and is tearing into you... why wouldn't you do whatever it takes to get the dog off you? |

It would be lovely if I could carry a gun and all, but that's not an option, lol. I also don't think that tasers are legal here, idk. I hear different things on that subject. On a really shitty side, there's a "no weapons allowed" rule in my house. So the knife is an easy secret, but I have no bleeding clue how I'd hide a taser, lol.

I'm with the taser suggestion. I carry a baton taser that is about 18 inches long. Will work perfectly if a loose dog comes after mine when out walking.
Fortunately, I haven't had to use it on a dog yet, just the sound of it snapping when you pull the trigger seems to be enough to make the dogs back off and move on, so far. I don't try to hide the taser, it looks just like a black billy club. |
