1 day fasting won't hurt your dog. Just make sure that she will get her steak soon!

You are a better owner than I am. I decided to take a very long bath with a book last night because we were having brown outs and there wasn't much else to do. Plus, I haven't relaxed in the tub for months. Mine also got fed a few hours late because I thought the hubby and kids did it and they thought I did, lol.

I do the same thing, and beat myself up and get mad at myself..if Trigger doesn't get fed on time...only you have an excuse.

Take care of yourself now...and get better!

As someone who has been a jerk for the majority of my life, the best advice I can offer is to just accept and embrace it. Trying to fight it only makes it worse.

They are masters of manipulation! especially for food!!!

mine will frog leg through the dining room nosing his bowl around, sometimes he'll pick it up and drop it repeatedly

Hope you are feeling better already - summer colds are the worst!

As for Slayer, she needs a little bell that she can ring for 'service'

I love it when they do that with thier legs...all the dogs I owned before her were not pits...so most didnt do that. The first time I seen her do it I was sure she was hurt..LOL Got used to it.

Some chicken soup (original Campbell's), orange juice and Robitussin and (if you can still find the real deal) ephedrine will fix you

Best cure I found for a cold is...1st feed the dog. Heat some tea, add honey, sugar, 10 hall's mentho cough drops, lemon juice and 1 cup of 151 whiskey or rum. Heat everything until the cough drops are melted. Drink as fast as possible get under the covers, you will sweat like a pig but when you wake up. You are cured. lol. My mother in law made that for me once I thought she was nuts. I wasn't sure what she put into it until after I woke up. Now even though I don't drink, I always have a bottle of whiskey handy to cure a cold.

Add a cinnamon stick to the above I did the hot toddy thing once when I had a respiratory infection. It did work. I was coated in like 6 layers of stink, but I felt so good I could make it to the shower, lol

What kind of tea?

I absolutely HATE whiskey but I might be inclined to try this... Lol
