Anybody from St. Louis, Kentucky, Illinois, etc.?
 

I would love to have some friends(or at least know some people; lol) from my area. It would be nice to maybe meet up someday for a puppy playdate of some sort. xD Or even just hang out.

Around the city I live in, Pitts aren't very popular pups. I only know one other person who has a pitt and he's too rough with her and he's about twice her size, so they're not good for playing together. =/ I only know one puppy other than the pitt puppy, and he's a Dachshund/Rottweiler mix that's waaaay small for her to play with. So, you see, there's no middle ground here. x__x

what city do you live in? and how old is your pup?

I live about 30-40 minutes from St. Louis, in Villa Ridge. My pup is about 9 weeks old now. She's getting her next set of puppy shots tomorrow and is too little to be spayed, yet, if that's any concern to you. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

It's not mainly a thing for just her, but also a kind of comfort for me. Just being able to watch and learn from someone and go through the same things as someone else and getting advice and such.

I don't withdraw my question, by the way. xD I would still like to know some people from the area with pitties.

I know that, but when I shorten it, I prefer adding the T. It just makes it look better to me, especially when I call them pitties('cause I hate the term bullies).

And I don't care if they don't /need/ them. She needs to learn bite inhibition for one thing, which playmates help with, and, regardless of what SHE needs, I need some moral support 'cause this pup can easily drive me insane when she's been barking all day, only plays when she goes outside, and then poops five seconds after you bring her in(even if you've been outside for LITERALLY half an hour), etc. And online support and great and all that, but it's not the same.

Puppies still start to learn it from their littermates and from playing with other dogs. And I can try all I want to and she won't potty outside unless she /really/ has to. It's like she's scared to or something.

I'm not gonna dis you for calling them bullies even though I hate that term. Make 'em sound even more like an aggressive dog by calling them something people equate to an aggressive, "dominant" person. I really don't care, so just shut up about it. You weren't even in the conversation with that person, so don't butt in.

And, to Bransen, I'm not surprised that's how you see it. I wouldn't be surprised if most people see it like that. But, like above, that's how I see "bullies". So, that's all. tell ya what pal, this is a public board, so i can "butt in" anywhere i choose, and fyi, i dont call my dog bullys...thats a breed in itself
