I was wondering. I call him a mix breed mutt dog.
What is he closer to? Even though he is a lanky tall blue dog, is he still considered an AmBully just by his color and markings?

Im looking for the "tied" picture of his Mom and Dad to show you what they look like too..

Even now that Harley is 2 I still dont know what to call him. I posted a thread like this a long time ago and got such mixed answers it didnt solve my problem of what would be the most accurate thing to call him so that Im not spouting off untrue information. Hope you get more defined answers than I did lol

Well from that picture you showed me of his sire, he looked pretty "bully-ish".

He could be an AmBully, not all are huge and bulky. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/wink.png

My bestfriend, for instance, has a female bully.
Born on the exact same day as Torque.
But, from a different litter.
Both are 18 weeks.

We took both Swift and Torque to Petsmart today and weighed them.
Swift was like 23lbs, while Torque was 47.5.

My point is bloodlines play a big role in the size of the dog.

Swift is Razor's Edge, Watchdog, and Gaff.
Torque is Razor's Edge and the rest is mostly York stuff.

So, he COULD be an AmBully..
But sadly, without papers you will never know!

I dont plan to breed him ever, and people keep telling me "Oh nice blue nose pit!"

And I am like, uhh no he is a grey dog, lol probably a weimerianer(sp)

Yea he looked a little bully-ish lol and I couldnt really tell body size to much on his mother, she was very emaciated and just dropped a 11 pup litter.

I think he is a lanky backyard ambully thing.. at best lol

I'd just call him a bully mix, that covers all the bases.

All my neighbors love him, and thats what I wanted, because this neighborhood is very close, my building is one of those you know everyone kind of places and I dont want them to hate my dog, and I like him being a good example of the "bully breed"
So far even the hard ass guy who hated us when we moved in has started to like him http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png He is a Bears fan and thinks Bear is just the sweetest little pup !

oh also does him being blue automatically make him more on the side of ambully? or can their be blue apbt? I would think it is possible, its just a color variant an all..

There CAN be blue APBT's, but it's not seen nearly as much as with AmBullies.

I just call mine a mix, but that does not stop anyone from assuming.

If he grows up to look anything like his parents then he is legally a "Pit Bull" or a "Pit Bull type dog". Remember, when people ban or restrict the bully breeds they also add in that anything that looks like it is all or part of those breeds is also banned. That pup and his parents looks very much like a bully breed dog. I'd guess either Am Bully or maybe Am Bully x APBT.

WHY?? If you are a responsible owner of a dog there isn't any reason to "lie" to anyone. Wave your bully flag high!!!

If I had your cutie I would tell people, even haters, that my best guess is some kind of Am Bully mix, maybe some Pit Bull in there, but I don't know for sure as he is a rescue.

Most of the time I am fine saying it, but some people just are waiting for the word "bully" "pit bull" or anything so they can tell me how my dog is the devil or going to kill me or something. Id rather not deal with those people.
Most people are surprised when they find out he is some mix with "pit bull" or something, because he is well behaved and cute and nice to their kids lol

Though we have had our days at the park...and some of you know...lol... I do understand what you are talking about. Sometimes I just want to tell people that she is a Min Schnauzer...lol...just to see the reaction. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png But I am very proud of her and just go ahead and say yes I guess, but I don't have papers. Then continue on to how I got her and rescued her... So through all that, it has become easier over the months. I used to get offended when all the dog people left the park for know reason, cause she really acts great, but now I just kind of laugh and think, well more fun for us...lol..
