Default Woo hoo, Jack has a fence!
I just had to share the happiness...

So when we adopted Jack, we were living in a one-bedroom loft in Atlanta. No biggie, we had a great walking trail nearby and we had lots of on-leash fun. THEN we moved to my parents' house temporarily (long story), which was much bigger but did not have an enclosed yard. No biggie again, the neighborhood had great sidewalks for trekking.

But, we FINALLY bought our own place last year, and one of the big must-haves for us was a yard (however small) that we could fence in for the pupster. Well, it took a while for the weather to cooperate and for the HOA to give us approval, but the fence was finished yesterday and OMG was Jack excited! Actually, he didn't really know what to do at first - he was like, "Seriously? You're not going to put the leash on?" But as soon as we started throwing a squeaky toy around back there, he got the hang of things and just adored the freedom to run and chase and sniff and chew grass and just BE.

SOOOOO excited to be going into a summer where Jack can run, play, swim (which he loves, so we're going to get a little kiddie pool, haha), whatever, without a leash. Of course, we are never going to leave him out there unattended...so don't worry!

That's great to hear. =) I can't wait until I have a nice, fenced-in backyard for Opie.

Peyton was the same way when I moved him to my parent's house from my ex's house, who had no yard. My parent's house has a HUGE fenced yard and Peyton loves it so much, you can tell he's a 10x happier dog in general because of it.

I know Jack is thrilled!!
