I thought it was a gag site @ first.

The first site was 2 funny. The dog on the right was so fat , he could barely stand. He looked pooped from just having to get up.

They all looked like a few minutes on a spring pole would cause heart failure or an anurism. LOL

After I saw site after site , dog after dog , I did feel bad for them. You could tell they just brought a few dogs & are trying to make money.

The first was the funniest. West Coast W hand sign. Too funny. Hard to believe they find suckers to give those dogs to, let alone pay for them.

I saw one was a Champion. I fell out my chair. Whose Champion? How?

I do respect their honesty though. They never say the dogs are bred for gameness. Just for Blueness & size. They do what they were bred for.. Be big & be blue.

They had some fat puppies too. You can tell they were (IMO) deformed. Chest super big.. ( Keep them away from my dogs with all that chest! )

That was funny though. The guy behind my house asked about Blues today, I said "They do what they are bred for". He asked " Be Blue?". I just looked and shrugged. He said " Who wants a dog thats Blue , but don't do nothing?"

I had a buddy call a guy we knew ( To prove a point ) and ask why his pups were $1,100 dollars. ( The mom was a known cur , but he didn't know we ( callers ) knew. Between smothering the phone ( To hide our laughs ) my friend asked simple questions that I had prepared.

Us - " What makes these dogs worth $1,100 ? "

ans: Well ( stutter ) I ( stutter ) you know ( Double stutter ) See ( pause ) I ( Double stutter )
"What do you mean?"
( Answers question with a question . typical smokescreen )

Us - " What have the parents produced that have turned out successful?"

After a few more stutters & no answers , he got all indignant :

Ans: - " What you have to realize is: The most important thing about these dogs is... That they are Blue! "

We said ok, and after we hung up, we busted out laughing & still laugh about it till this day. All I have to say is " What's the most important thing about those dogs?"

& like clockwork my friend responds " The most important thing about these dogs..is that they are blue!"

My friend was a NOOB then 4 yrs ago ( Still is ) and I wanted to teach him how to spot a shyster & how to not be one. Lesson learned.

True , the problem arises when they breed for that color , solely , or add size only to the eqaution. That IMO, isn't how APBT should be bred. Any color or Size criteria.

Yeah , Fire sale. May have gotten busted. Thier Florida operation has been shut down for a while. They are based in brazil now. ( I think )

They have produced solid dogs for a while now.

Only " Commercial " breeders left in the states. ( IMO )

Wildside Kennels & Tom Garner are @ the top of my list.
Gary Hammonds too. The " Mountain Man " " G- Man " & " The Boyscout " , deserve honorable mentions , but they aren't really commercial breeders. Infact , John Q Public would be hard pressed to get a pup with cash in hand.

Of course the Underground Breeders don't have websites & shun publicity.

& countless others whose chose obscurity , or just don't know how to make a website.

I like to see years in work from a breeder. Generations & decades. I avoid fly by night operations. Consistancy is key.

The first is a discrace (I can't stand American Bullies, especially kennels that call them APBT's). The second one is a joke altogether. The first thing I read was on that site was, "Welcome to Rellik Kennels. All information is to be considered fiction and for entertainment purposes only".

What's a 1xw Boogieman? I'd be scared if a breeder told me I couldn't visit their yard. Either human aggressive dogs, dog fighting, etc is going on.

i'd steer clear of both them clowns! first is byb puppy peddler of non standard dogs calling them APBT's when they obviously aren't.

the second is morons advertising their 1xw. oh but the disclaimer of all it is fiction has them in the clear........more i'd laugh at the dumbass if they were arrested tomorrow for dog fighting. DUMBASSES!

A 1xw is a 1 time winner.........meaning in a pit fighting.

It is not uncommon for people to not allow just anyone to their yard. I've seen plenty of reputable breeders who don't allow folks over cuz of the potential for thieves casing the place to come back and get em some dogs. It was a common practice many years ago and still happens pretty regularly today. Of course I'm sure others do it because they don't want people to see what the dogs "really" look like, or the horrible conditions because they are too lazy to pick up poop every other day or so. it's easy to post up some pics of a nice yard (when it's clean) and some good pics of dogs when they were in shape.

Thanks Guys I was just curious! I read that part of the one site too about it being Fiction and entertainment purposes only. Like I said I was just curious a co-worker(of hubby) told me to check them out for in the future if we ever get another one and I did check them out and thought "No thanks!!" I'll go the shelter and adopt before I would go there. I was just curious as to what you guys thought or if it was just me thinking it was a byb.

I personally would not look for a dog in classifieds because 99.99% of time they're BYB's trying to make some money. Good breeders don't need to post ads to find their pups a home. An ethical breeder who breeds great dogs usually has a list of potential buyers prior to the breeding even taking place.

I think that second one is a free site built by a kid that visits here every now and again. He post pics of other peoples dogs and tries to represent them as part of his line of dogs. He has way too much time on his hands.
