hey i've got one too.

If you know this dog is from a BYB why are you considering this pup? If you aren't concerned with getting a well bred purebred APBT. Then why not go to the shelter or a rescue and adopt a APBT or APBT mix? Atleast then you are giving a homeless dog a home. If you want a well bred purebred, find yourself a reputable breeder that does health and genetic testing and has registered pedigreed dogs.

Don't go to a BYB.. go someplace else. If you want a good pup, go to a respectable breeder. Otherwise, go to a shelter or rescue. Lots of pups out there that need homes that wont contribute to BYB cycle.

Damn people bringing up dead topics!! |
He can be considered blue if he has a red nose because red nose's make blue nose's or whats his bloodline because i dont go by features I go by temperment and drive but if u know his bloodline u can correct his feature in the line becuz his/her features might be dating back
|
Acutally Im glad this dead topic was brought up.. Ive seen so many threads recently ask what color their dog is (the OPs dog is the same color and my own) and I cant ever find a definite answer as to what to call the color of my dog.. this thread seemed to be one with very definite answers unlike may of the more recent ones where people cannot seem to agree on the name of the color. (I know its not improtant but when people are always asking what color your dog is I really hate having to say "well I really dont know the correct name of it" when Im trying to not come across as just another stupid pit bull owner.

It is a chocolate dilute. It's the exact same colour seen in isabella Dobermans, which are a diluted expression of their red counterparts. Just like blue is a direct dilute of black.
Weimaraners are this colour as well, and almost every breed can have this dilution. It is pretty common in Chihuahua's and Dachshunds. |
The pup looks to me to be a blue fawn which is nothing more than a dilute of chocolate. Names like "lilac," "champagne" are alternate names for blue fawn that BYBs have made up to male blue fawn sound more flashy & thus more "rare."
Happy holidays ... |
who in the hell said red fawn LOL obviously never seen a red fawn before
|
I would say blue fawn....it's color will change some as it grows...even it's nose color.
|
Blue fawn is exactly that, a fawn dog with a blue mask. The nose pigment is clearly of the liver/chocolate gene. There is nothing "blue" about him.

I was just referring to his coloring. It was just my opinion that looking at the picture, to me his coat looked most like a dilution of blue/brown hence me using the term blue fawn. ---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 PM ---------- Quote:
