Okay so, I've decided not to use anything Italian/Russian, I'm saving that for when I have a pit.

For this beyootiful boy, I've decided that I'm gonna project my musicality onto him. Like, 60s-70s-maayyyybee80s rock band names. Kinda.
During school I was thinking up names, and here's what I got so far. Feel free to add to the list.

-Zeppelin (as in Led)
-Morrison (as in Jim)*
-Hendrix (as in Jimmy)
-Ringo (as in Starr)
-Creedence (as in Clearwater Revival)

*Funny story about my friends and ol' Jim. Kay, so we're all fans of old rock and the good ol' days. And boy-howdy is Jim Morrison HOT. Or was. But damn, he was fiiine. Someone told my buddy Brandon that he kinda looks like Jim. His response was "Chandler, if I looked like Jim Morrison, I would not be here right now. I'd be at home, in my bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror and masturbating." I nearly died.

Default Re-Naming Dogs?
So, in another thread of mine (http://www.pitbull-chat.com/showthread.php?t=76046) I told y'all about Enigma, this adorable BC mix. Here's the thing: I hate that name. Tiffany (my best friend, who rescued him) is a great chick, I love her to death, but she's got a knack for naming things horribly. Sora, Coco, Bear, (all dogs), Katie and Sox (horses), Chipper and Tweet (birds) are all her namings. Ugh.

So what do y'all think about re-naming dogs? I'm thinking about trying to find a good Italian name, give a reach back to my heritage, but ya know. Whatever's clever. Opinions?

Any dog I've adopted, or gotten previously named, I've renamed. Oldest dog I ever renamed was Marsha, my little gremlin dog. I honestly can't remember what her name was when I adopted her...Delilah?...something like that. And it DID NOT fit. So I changed it. She didn't even really know her old name, so it was no problem for her to learn the new one.

Gypsy was named Bambi when I got her--changed it.

I don't see any problem with name changing.

Otis responds to half a dozen different names that he was given at different times. No harm done in changing a name

Mater was previously named Petey before we got him. It's not that hard to change a dog's name IMO. Mater answers to quite a few different names.
